Do you like wall to wall carpet in your home? Do you like scatter rugs? I prefer no carpet on the floors and an area rug in certain key places to ground everything. Carpets get very dirty and hold allergens.
I think that hardwood floors are much easier to clean and will look a lot nicer (free of stains) down the road. The only thing that I like better about carpet is the warmth...but that's what socks and cuddling are for.
