Do you allow your dog to sleep on your bed?

My dog would love to, but she has a soft bed of her own in the same room. She used to sleep on the bed, but she got so snarly if I moved, I put her out...but still near by.

Most of the time she does. Except when my boyfriend is there, then she has to sleep on the sofa. There she also has to huge soft pillow for her alone. But when he's not there, I like her to sleep with me, it gives me less the feeling of being alone...

My cat used to sleep on my neck. Sounds like you like your kitty near you and she likes to be there.

Oh yeah, she (it's a dog in fact) loves to sleep close to me. In fact I don't know if she prefers me or the bed... She's still lying on it now! On the days I don't work, she usually agrees to get up around midday!!!

No, I think I'd let them if they didn't shed so badly! If I let them sleep in the bed I wake up with dog hair all over the sheets and blankets, and to lay on that feels like someone just poured a cup of cookie crumbs on the sheets! Too bad, they're sweet dogs, I just don't want to change and wash sheets everyday!

My dog does not get on the furniture. He has his own bed.

That is obedience. In my house if one lets the dog up, the dog thinks it has freedom all the time. Keeping her off the bed is a task I have to monitor at least once a week.

Absolutely! He is quite the snuggler, and neither one of us would get any sleep if he weren't there!

A snuggler dog is so foreign to my terrier experience. Wonder what a dog who snuggles would be like. No growling when you move.

I know other folks who have this same sleeping arrangement. Over the covers and you can't turn over. Under the covers and they bring sand into the bed, hair, and flees. Ah, pet affection....

Yeah he's a weenie dog, and he'll jump in the bed with us when he gets cold and snuggle up by my legs. But normally he'll sleep in his own bed and the foot of our bed.

I love those weenie dogs. Does he need help jumping up that high?

My little one sleeps with me, the larger one only sleeps on the bed if it is really cold. What kind of dog do you have? My friend's dalmation gets snarly if you try to move her after she's gotten all comfortable and gone to sleep. I couldn't deal with it if my babies were snarly. Thanks for asking. :-)

Bed warmers are nice if they are nonsnarlers.

kitty - kitty on my shoulder, he was asleep soon after that picture.
of course, i like for him to cuddle up next to him but he would rather lay at my feet. but my cat will lay right next to me, or next to my head, or in my hair.

That is a cute story. I have never slept with a dog in my bed; nor cats. My mother had a beagle for years. The dog was never allowed in the bedroon except for Sunday mornings. My father always made breakfast for my mother on Sunday mornings. The dog sat outside the bedroom door waiting patiently. When my mother was finished eating, the dog was permitted to get up on the bed and finish what she hadn't eaten. She would then snuggle down in the quilt and snooze until my mother got up, around ten o'clock.

We don't have a dog but our cat sleeps in our bed. We've nicknamed him "birthcontrol" because he just loves sleeping between us.

Both of my dogs sleep on my bed. But they are small and get cold very easily! One of them even tries to go under the blankets! I just don't like them under the sheets!

Well I, myself, HATE dogs on beds but my husband on the other hand does not mind it. So yes, our dog sleeps with us! UGH! LOL :)
