Weight Loss Competition - Friday, June 29th

Hello everyone! Its that time of the week again where we record our progress. How did everyone do?? Did you gain, did you lose, or did you maintain?? I weighed myself this morning and I hate to say it, but I didn't lose a pound, BUT I didn't gain a pound either. As most of you know this past month has been some what of a challenge for me because I do tend to eat when I am stressed, and boy have I been stressed. Hopefully once things settle down I'll be able to control my unhealthy eating habits. I will be gone most of the weekend due to a wedding so hopefully that will help with the eating. Now I just need to watch myself with margaritas! :) So lets see how everyone else did this week...

well when I went to the doctors the other day the scale said 142. The last time I was weighed the scale said 144 so I guess I lost two pounds. I have been eating a lot of those Healthy Choice meals and drinking more water so maybe that is helping?

not sure cause I don't have a scale at home. I am thinking it's just the two pounds though.

I'd say its definitely helping! Congratulations on losing two pounds. Can I ask how many pounds you have lost since June 1st?? You could be our new leader if you've lost more than 3.2 pounds I believe!!

I was really worried to get on the scale this morning because last night my husband and I went to the Outback for dinner!! I must be doing something right, because I am down .2 with a total of 3.2 down. Racheld, you are doing awesome maintaining and not gaining. YOu have been threw so much with your dad's health, you should be very proud of yourself for not giving into the desire to snack during the stressful times.

Congratulations on your .2 pound loss! I have a feeling you might be in the lead again. You should feel so good about yourself for continuing to go down in weight. Before you know it, those pounds will be melting away! Great job and keep up the excellent progress. As for me on the other hand, I have definitely been stress eating but I also have been working out. I just need to stop stress eating and then my workouts will be more beneficial. I think once things settle down I'll be able to get myself in a routine of exercising AND eating right!

Thanks for your words of encouragement. It would be great if you could exercise when stressed instead of eat~ I know how you feel because I am also a stress eater. I have been trying to munch on carrots instead of chocolate:)

When I weighed myself a couple of days ago I had lost a couple of pounds, then when I weighed myself this morning the scales said that I had gained almost ten. I got off of the scales and back on several times and got several different readings before they quit working altogether. I'm not sure if it is a battery issue or time for a new set of scales, but I guess any reading I have for this week wouldn't be accurate. I KNOW I didn't gain ten pounds overnight!

After the wacky readings this morning I don't know if I really had lost those two pounds either. My scales may not have been registering correctly then either. When I stepped on the scales today I expected to see at least those two pounds gone, and was hoping for another one... Imagine how disappointed I was when I instead saw a ten pound weight gain! Anyway, I will be picking up some new batteries next time I go into town and hopefully I really did lose at least a pound or two.

I would definitely think of changing the batteries or maybe investing in a brand new scale. Congratulations on your loss from a few days ago!

hey racheld!it's friday and i think i screwed my diet today.i had icecream!i weighed myself and i have gained a kilo.that's a lot!i have to starve myself and go to gym tomorrow!have a great weekend!

You didn't screw up your diet, you just made a fraction of a mistake. You will burn those calories off in no time at the gym. Just remember this doesn't give you premission to eat whatever you want the rest of the day. You'll still be in good shape if you keep up your exercising!
