Grrrrrr....Don't You Hate Bureaucracy?

Yesterday I received a form letter in the mail from my daughter's school that she won't receive her report card until she turns in her history book. When I asked her about it, she said that she did indeed turn it in on the last full day of school to her teacher. Of course, the school can't find the book and they have to track down the teacher who is nine months pregnant to find out if she did turn the book in. Until then I can either pay seventy dollars so she can get her report card or wait for an answer from the school. I hate this kind of thing. Someone else makes a mistake and others have to pay for it. It sounds like a bureauracy to me? Did you ever have to deal with these type of catch-22 situations and if so how did you deal with it? How would you deal with this one?

maybe your daughter didn't turn it in? isn't that a possibility? if she is sure she did, and you are sure she isn't lying, then wait until it can be proven, if it can't then fight it out or decide which you want more.

You seem to be pretty unlucky in this case and currently even i am caught in this wierd condition where i had to pay 75$ for no fault of mine but due to mismanagement by college where i study.
