Does Your Cat Wake You Up In The Morning?

Does your cat do this? Mine certainly does. She comes in about 5 or 10 minutes before it's time for me to get up and pats my eyes or gently pulls at the covers by my face. She is so cute... How about your kitties? Do they wake your up? How? Does it tick you off sometimes?

We close the bedroom door at night so the cats can't come in. Otherwise, about 2 in the morning one will be doing a tap dance on my head or my husbands! Then there's the cat that is very loud when he's grooming himself - so loud it'll wake us up! I like having the cats sleeping with us, but dislike more getting woke up in the middle of the night! When I open the door in the mornings, one or two of them is usually there to greet me. That's a nice way to start the day!

hahahaha...I can just picture the tap dance, melanie. I know what you mean too about the cat that is loud grooming. I used to have a cat that was the same way. I'd love to have her on my bed but I would soon have to kick her out because I couldn't fall asleep with all that grooming. I felt like saying to her "Couldn't you have done that earlier today?!?!" Thanks for sharing :)

Yes, one of my cats wakes me up in the morning. I think that it is because I feed him first thing in the morning, and he is hungry. It is annoying if I want to sleep in, but he does know "another hour" means go away and come back in an hour.

Ah ha, smart kitty! Mine knows when I tell her "in a minute" means she'll have to wait. Thanks for sharing.

Both of my cats, Waffles and Columbus, hop on my bed as soon as it gets light outside. I can't even tell you how many times that they awakened me 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning. When they do, Waffles will settle down next to me and wait for me to get out of bed, while Columbus will pace before finally settling down at the foot of the bed. As soon as I sit up, Columbus jumps off the bed first and walks to the kitchen. A few minutes later, Waffles jumps off the bed and heads for the kitchen. I open up two cans of food and place the food on two separate dishes before serving it to the cats. Once that's done, I open up another can of food for Mimi, who is still holed up in the closet. Otherwise, she wouldn't eat. I will have her a week on Saturday. Poor cat. She's still traumatized since she was given away after being with her humans for five years. And she doesn't quite trust me yet.

My cat isn't as patient. She will flop her body on my head if I don't pay attention to what she wants (usually food). I don't mind at all, though. Thanks for sharing.

My cats both wake me anytime they need me. In the morning if I sleep in they really meow to wake me. They also sometimes snuggle though. It's nice.

I love it when my cat snuggles with me, too. She likes to lay right beside my head with her face leaning against mine - so cuddly :)
