Absolutly not customer care especially at banks is terrible, They have so much money they are not that bothered if they lose one or two customers. In January I went to an ATM near my home to withdraw money the ATM said insufficant funds. I went home and saw over £7,000 had been withdrawn back Halifax Processing It took me over 10 phone calls 2 visits to my branch and a phone call to their head office to get the problem resolved it took almost a week to have the money put back in my account. Now when I first opened the account a DD was taken out of my account when i had no money in and they charged me £39 admin charge (about $80) So I told them I wanted compensation when they try taking money that is there I get charged when I tried taking money that wasnt there because of them I was told there is no compensation scheme available. Im not going to name the bank in case I get sued but I would personally recomend you open abank account with anyone except HALIFAX

I understand what you mean, coolgeth. I have come across bad customer service that really shoot my nerves up to the sky. Customer care is supposed to help us with our concern but it seems that I needed to do rounds of follow up before they do the necessary action. There are some customer service that deserve my respect though. They will readily go out of their way to check back my problem.

This is true in any industry which involves sales and after sales service. They treat you like king at first before buy or join their service and if you have brought their product or service then you will be treated like a pauper. Such incidence have happened to many times with banks and credit cards. What to do, we can only discuss it here, they go scot-free!

Once i lost my Atm card while travelling in bus and i immediately contacted the banks customer service to deactivate the card.Within 1 hour when i again called back they said they have blocked my card and then only i was relaxed that my money was safe. But i have some bitter experiances too which really irritated me and driven my time and energy. Once my broadband connection failed to connect which i reported to the customer care who promised me that it will be rectified within 24 hours. But this scheduled time when i called back to get the status of my complaint i got a very irrelevant answer that there is some networking problem so they were unable to forward my complaint to their service department and this continued for another 3 days. Finally i got back the connection only after 6 days after my continued pressures to look into my complaint. I think its unavidable with this customer services to care thier customers in times of need. They call us frequently to buy their product and once the sales is over its we, the customers to run behind them to get our work done in most cases.

Very true. Most of the Customer cares today are not true to their names. Many times, they are so professional that instead of solving the problems, they are so much interested in the NUMBER of calls attended everyday. I should also admit that sometime I do get responded properly, but if the question is THEY CARE?, then I should say THEY DONT. They just attend the call and forward most of the times.

Customer Service plays a crucial role in Sales. For me, I haven't experienced any bad Customer service so far. Hope this day never comes also!:) The main role of customer service is to retain it customers and help them. If the customer service is bad it will badly effect the business of its industry and customers will be inclined to move to some other company.

I can say mine now does. Of course it took me finding them to get that. I never settle with banks, if I don't like the way they act while holding my money, I drop them and move else where. I never give up my power as the customer.

It depends on the company. Sometimes, I can tell the differences between one company and another one. Some customer services at grocery stores, for instance, are uncare but others are okay. Sometimes, I was often upset because of the company's service. Although I ever mentioned my complaint to the manager, I often thought that my complaints were going to deaf ears. If so, it is better to switch to their competitors. However, I do understand that customer service people are only humans. They may have their own problems so that it may affect their work performances. Thus, it doesn't mean that the company doesn't care about their customers. I think it is just an individual person who may create a bad image. On the other hand, I often encountered customer service people who don't really care about customers. No matter where you are going to talk to people in that company, it seems that they are uncare and irresponsible with customers' problems.

Thats how it is. Truely, they were called Customer care, they donot really care. That Even connived with one telecommunication company here in Nigeria-called CELTEL.Though it functions, but not really functioning many of there client do complain them. SO,my advice for them is to re-affirm there status as a customer care-they should try to be a good customer care ,i:e they should really care for there customers and ....do what is expected of them.

Usually when I call customer care, they can help me. But sometimes you get some pretty bad customer service reps. I have called one in particular about getting a service deleted after trial was over. They had charged me when they weren't supposed to. They wouldn't take no for an answer. I said I didn't want to keep their service. They would say "Why don't we just give you another month free and then you can cancel if you want?" I said no I want to cancel now. They wouldn't listen. Finally I had to use a stern voice with them and they finally did it. Never again will I do business with them.

Decades back customers were rare and the companies used to treat customers royally. now there are millions of customers and the companies don't bother to give real care. That what happening not only in India and also all over the world.

I aggree customer care doesn't always act like they care. They want to play around or it seems like it to get out of trying to take care of you.

I think customer service with many companies have deteriorated. I'm sure for them the bottom line is money because these people don't make the company money, but they do represent the integrity of a company, but not very well I have found. Most of the time when I have to deal with customer service of any company, no two people have give the same answer and most just pass the buck on to the next person.

I have had both kinds of experience with customer care. Some have really cared and gone out of their way and above their job trying to help me. Then you have the other side. The ones that don't care, they are just there to make money. I think it all depends on the person and not the company whether you get good customer service.

hmm, as a csr, there are two reasons, they must have a bad day that day or they're new to customer service. sorry to hear that..but you can be irate and complain to them..dont be too soft, i know there are some agents who just need some to be wellsaid. good day :)
