are you good in budgeting?
do you buy things that are necessary and basic?
how do you handle the high cost of living? do you still buy the things you like or you give way because of lack of money?

I can say yes to the question. Among my friends, I am the one whom they know can really budget money. Most of my friends are having financial trouble and I do my best to enlighten them about how money should and should not be used. Some of them listen and do what I suggest and thank me for helping them. Others just go on with their own thing and complain of their bad finances evertime we get to meet. It's frustrating sometimes but I cannot ram budgeting down their throats, right?

I don't think I am great at it but we do try to stick to one. Now and then we might got off it a little and buy something that was not planned for - it happens now and then like buying extra work clothes for my husbands work trip to Africa for six weeks. I only like buying items when things are on sale as I tend to get a good bargain here and there. I often pick up some good books at thrift stores too and the occasional item for my home. We try to live within our means and buy what it necessary and if we can't afford it, then we go without. As long as we have the food, rent, bills covered, we do ok.
