Would you stay in line for 100 hours to get iPhone?

Long lines formed in all major cities. People were forming lines 100 hours before Apple released iPhone today June 28. This is real posting from Craig list: "I am looking for several people who will wait in line for me to buy the new Apple iPhone on Friday, June 29...You need to be reliable, mature, and patience will definitely be a plus! What you do while you're in line is your business, but unless you devise a foolproof strategy, you cannot leave the line." Per my information, place in line was sold for $200. Would you pay $200 on top of regular high priced, high tech phone?

It may not be the dumbest things I've ever heard of, but it sounds pretty stupid to me. Why not just wait a couple of days, when you hardly have to wait in line at all? Of course, I can't even imagine paying $500-$600 for a cell phone.

I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a phone, much less the $200 for someone else to buy it for me. There is also no way I'd stand in line like that for a phone. This time next year they'll probably be $50 each, if they're still around. Stuff like that gets outdated so fast anymore I'd rather wait around than pay that much for it.

I stayed in line once to buy the new X-Box. Had to queue overnight so only 8 to 10 hours. I only wanted it to sell on which I did for double the price I paid. The others in the queue were real anoraks and were telling about the games they play and the techy side of the machine. That was worse than the 10 hour wait. Would I do it again. Probably not, but then again...

Heck NO! I would not stand in line for myself- or for anyone else- even for $200- I can't imagine- Do you remember the violence in the lines for the PS3's? No thanks-- Not for me and I would not be willing to pay someone $200 to stand in line for me either-

While I really appreciate 'top of the line' technology, I know that I would never be foolish enough to wait in a line for it! I don't do it at the pre-Christmas sales either. And to pay $200 for a spot in the line? Ridiculous!

Okay, I must confess, one time, way back when I was a young'un, I camped out overnight for Billy Joel tickets, they were sold out over an hour before I would have got to the window. Those tickets were a limited commodity. Now I am an Apple fan, I love my Mac, but there is no way that I would have spent that much time in line for a cell phone, gave me a break. I got an iPod and a cell phone. Do I need an iPhone? NO!!! Even if I could afford it, I do not want anything that bad. I must admit, I am saving money for a new Mac, I hope to have enough in Oct when Leopard comes out, even if I do, I will wait a few weeks and avoid the lines.

No, I would never stand in line for anything for that long. I'm lucky if I can wait in line for 15 minutes. Plus I don't need that phone, mine works fine.

If you are willing to wait 4-5 days in line to get a cell phone, your life must not be going very well. I would never do something so dopey as that. How excited can you be to spend $650 for a phone plus the hundreds of dollars for the calling plan and other fees? America is full of crazy people!

I think it is ridiculous how people spend so much time in line for the IPhone, Playstation 3 or any other new technology. People definitely have their priorities mixed up, especially the Philly Mayor. Why can people not wait til the next day or week to get one? I would not lose sleep over some piece of new gadget. I think it is a waste of time and energy to stay in line that long. I have more important things to spend my money on than this new phone.

That's over 4 days straight of standing in line! I can't believe anyone would actually do that for a free phone, let alone one they had to pay $600 for. I wouldn't be the one to stand in line for them either for only $200 (that's only $2 an hour, for the mathmatically challanged). Honestly, I have phone that I payed about $30 for when I signed up with sprint. It plays music, takes pictures, and even makes phone calls! I turned off the web-surfing and downloading features, because I don't even need those. I have a computer at home and at work, I can survive without the internet the rest of the day!
