Hi friends, first of all I want to say I'm sorry again for posting something that someone brought to my attention, wasn't true. I had no idea, was just wanting to warn all the ladies about it. You will find it in my post titled "Wanna smell this neat perfume?" SCAM! So the craziest thing happend to me today that totally freaked me out because the same thing almost happend to me! I went to the gas station and was putting gas in my car and 2 guys pulled up next to me and asked me "What kind of perfume are you wearing today?" I freaked out because I remember this post I posted the other day, and thought, "Oh my God! This is so wierd!" So I just looked at the guys and moved my finger as to say no! So they asked me next, "What kind of perfume do you like?" I looked at them angrily and said, "None! I don't want anything! Just leave me alone!" So they drove off after that. I know it must have just been by coincidence that the same thing happened to me after recieving that e-mail, than later finding out it wasn't even a real story. But I have to say though it was just too wierd and freaked me out a little bit. Looks like that e-mail I got was made up but it sure started out the same way with me today, so makes me wonder if maybe the story was true or maybe just all a coincidence. Just had to share that!

I still believe the story is false. Here is why, there are companies that pay people to walk around and sell perfume. My husband worked for one. They go to malls, gas stations, or anywhere there are people and start conversations just like the one you mention above.

I agree with you it probably is false. Yes I know people go around selling perfumes, I've bought them before in the past from someone who sold some to me when I used to work at a dominoes pizza and they would go up to people and sell them. Was just a crazy coincidence it happened after hearing that story. That's just ridiculous how people make up such false stories like that. They need to do something better with their time than freaking people out like that. Thanks for responding:)

It could be true. Or it could be someone warning other people of all the possible ways you could be harmed. As for your own incident, perhaps these people saw that email too and decided to give it a try. I know I have seen that email a couple of times myself. You did the right thing, regardless. We tell our children not to talk to strangers. We should practice what we preach.

You are right about that, whether it be true or false we should always be careful because there are crazy people out there who I'm sure would do stuff like that to women. Thanks:)

I am thinking it was just a coincidence and nothing to worry about. But, I still think that you should be cautious about that all the times.

I truly believe that if you are going to start working for a company that needs data entry employees or typing agents or anything like that, the company shouldn't be asking for money. If you are starting your own business, then that's a different story...but if a place is hiring, and they want your money...RUN!!!
