When my daughter used to have some she would ask me to play with it too. It was kinda fun, as long as I took my rings off first. :D I had even bought a little rolling pin and some small cookie cutters for her to use with it. She had fun with it until I caught her leaving little balls of it stuck on the furniture and in the carpet. Had to get rid of it after that. Couldn't afford to get the carpet cleaned each time she left little colored blobs on the floor. :(

When I volunteered at the preschool, you could often find me working with the kids at the Play Doh table. I think that I enjoyed playing with it almost as much as they did. I don't play with it so much anymore because my kids won't play with it with me. They think that they are too old, even if I'm not. I need to wait until my youngest granddaughter gets beyond the stage of wanting to eat it, then we will be able to play with it when the girls come over.

When we do play with it though, we usually don't do it over the carpet. At the preschool, we usually used a carpet sweeper right away before it got tracked in and it came up pretty good.

I would have vacuumed had I noticed them on the floor sooner but it was a multicolored carpet in her room and a thick pile in the living room. She made such tiny balls of it I didn't see them until it was too late. I found green smeared into the tan carpeting. :(

I have never come across play doh until my niece has a set. Since then, play doh has become a favorite plaything among the kids in my home. The playroom is "converted" to a restaurant with my nephews and nieces as cooks and waiters and the adults as guests. They would even go to the kitchen to bring in basins, plates and ladels. What a nice idea the kids can come out with.

Yes, normally play with my son. Oh yes, to prevent them getting on the carpet .... we buy a cheap coffee table ($9.00), put the table on a large cardboard; we sit on the cardboard (we get it from Costco where they discard it) so when it drop, it only drop on the cardboard.

I'll play with play doh if I get the chance to and I'm 23. It so fun cause you can make stuff with it and I'm pretty good at making things with play doh.

Whenever I'm working at a center and kids are playing with playdough I usually make it my aim to work at that table with the kids instead of any of the other tables. I love how the kids are so creative with the dough and I love how they get involved with what you're doing. You don't have to be that artistic to play with playdough either, the kids will see anything and turn it into something else.

Spoilsport! My little cherub wouldn't do that! Of course I still play with playdoug - it is too much fun to stop playing with just cos you get older! lol I must admit though I do tend to make my own cos it is much cheaper! You should give it a go! lol xxx
