How do you deal with your outdated clothes?

I am wondering whether you want to chase the fashion or not. I am now a fashion follower. I don't care whether my clothes are outdated or not. As long as I look nice to wear it, I don't mind it at all. So I won't throw away my clothes because they are outdated. The fashion is interesting, sometimes the old fashion will be popular again. If the clothes don't fit me any more, then I will give it to the poors.

Hey there. Speaking of my own old clothes, I wont throw or give them away unless I cant fit them. I find ways of turning my old ones into new styles, it may not be the same colour as the latest one in the shops, but its definetly the same pattern and style as those in the shops and they look unique in that type of material and no one will ever buy the same thing as me, unless they make it themselves, which rarely happens. So i tend to keep all my old clothes. I get commented and asked "where did you get that from" and I say, from my old wardrobe... LOL... These are the benefits of knowing how to sew...

hi youless..
i don't think the fashion for man is as up-to-date as for woman
most of my clothes are casual style
and i seldom found a casual shirt out of date
hehee
i can wear it anytime and matched it with the appearance i want
if i have some clothes out of date, i'll keep it on my drawer
i can't just throw it away since all my clothes was bought with my allowance LOL, and it's really been a struggle to save some money to purchase it LOL
thanks ^^

Hi Youless, I dont really care that much about fashion as long as the clothes look good and are comfortable to wear. To me it seems a waste to wear something a few times and then get rid of it just because it doesnt fit somebody elses idea of whats in style. When I'm not comfortable wearing them anymore, then I donate them to the thrift store. Take care, Terry

I would donate those clothes to some charities around here and they either take them to recycle or they give them to the poor and needy. I think it would be a waste to throw away clothes when they are still wearable. But sometimes I find myself with clothes that I haven't worn for one or two years, I would pack them up and give them to the charities. I feel better by doing this because I know they are delivered to others and I feel happy like I have done something good.

I don't pay attention to fashion, personally; the latest trends are always changing, and in order to keep up, you need a lot of money. I keep outdated clothes. I just become updated on the fashions whenever I stop by a clothing store or go on a clothes shopping spree (at least every few months). I have quite high expectations when it comes to clothes, though; in fashion or not, I want it to be aesthetically pleasing. I'm also not one to buy from cheap clothes stores; I've been taught by my parents that, in the case of clothes at least, higher price = better quality.
With my old clothes, I keep them or cut them up to make new clothes or serve as patterns for new clothes (it's an experimental thing). Most of the time, though, I just donate them to charity.

no.. i'm not one of those who can seem to follow the fashion trend.. i like the fashion this season, but i don't necessarily have to have it. I never throw out my clothes.. i still have my grade school clothes still in my closet.. if i can still fit them, i still wear it.. at home. :) But as you said, the fashion will always come back at one point so might as well keep them. I haven't really changed much in size since i was in school, so i keep all of my clothes. i can't remember a time when i did throw or give away any of my clothes. I've kept them all.. and still wear them.. :)

Out with the old in with the new I say, if I find something to be outdated then I will get rid of it and buy something new to replace it.
