Carriage Driving

Carriage Driving is becoming increasingly popular in the UK. I have been driving for about 10 years and thoroughly enjoy it. We lost our driving pony to colic about 18 months ago but I still drive with my friend and her lovely shetland pony, Goliath. Does any body else drive? Is is as popular abroad as it is here in the UK.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. My 10 year old daughter and I just trained an American Miniature Horse to drive. He's 4 years old and only stands 29 inches at the withers. He sure is strong though. He pulls us all over the place and it's really fun. It's not so popular in the US. It's gaining in popularity but out West in Oregon where I live there aren't many that do it. We sure get a lot of smiles when people pass us on the road.
