I see boiled peanuts signs around my neighborhood a lot, and I remember my mom making boiled peanuts. I did not pay attention how she make them. I was wondering anyone make boiled peanuts? Are they easy to make? Are they popular in your area or is it just popular in Georgia?

Hi venshida, my mom also use to make these and this is the way she use to make. all you need to have is peanuts , salt and water 5 pounds raw peanuts , in shells 1 cup salt water to cover wash the peanuts and place them in a pot. add salt, andwater. bring the water to boil. let it boil for 3 hours. taste the peanuts , if they are not saltyenough for your taste add more salt. if you would like the peanuts to be softer , return the water to boil and cook until they reach the consistency you desire. happy cooking.
