June 30, 2007 10:41am CST
for those of you who were kind enough to respond to my prayer request for Kelly, thank you.She is my sister s niece by marriage who was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer that has now spread to the bone.Umnfortunatly,Kelly doesn't have much time left. The only thing they can do is try to manage the pain which is a joke. It affects her joints and causes great pain.Every movement is agony for her .She is very weak and fell and now has 8 staples in the back of her head. She is only 37.

I am so sorry for her pain. It is sad that cancer has not been important enough to spend all the money it takes to find a cure. I often wonder if the medical profession and the pill makers are not making too much money off cancer that they dont want to find a cure.

That is a scary thing to contemplate, but I secretly fear you are right.

It is so sad to hear that she will not make it through. I know it has to be hard on you, your sister and all the family and friends of her niece. It has to be tough to see someone close to you and someone that young to be that ill and knowing that they will not make it. I will definitely continue to keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers.

thanks for the support Ken! It is much appreciated.I really don't think it's fair that she has to go so young and before her parents. She is really suffering from what i hear.

The only thing we can do is pray that the good Lord brings here home so her suffering may end. Cancer is such a cruel disease.

Thank you for the update. I wish I had words. But what can you say when all else is failing? I guess the only comfort she is has is knowing she'll be pain free with God in a small amount of time.

your support is enough. thanks so much.there is something you can do.Informe your friends and relatives of ibc.that would be a big help.I asked my sister if Kelly had a website but my sister said she didn't.

I'm so sorry to hear about Kelly, and she's so young too. I will continue my prayers for her remaining time and hope that by some miracle her pain will be lessened as time goes by...Manage pain...how are they doing that anyway..doesn't sound like they're doing much...

How sad! It is terrible when someone who should be in her prime isn't. I remember hearing about this disease on the news. It sounds like a fast moving disease which can be a blessing and a curse. I hope they find an acceptable way to manage her pain and leave her with some quality of life to enjoy.

I know,it's so unfair. I feel so bad for her little kids. They don't understand why mommy is in so much pain. The only thing going is that is so fast and that it isn't lingering.thanks for the support

i'm not exactly sure i even saw your other discussion, and for that, i'm sorry... it's terrible to watch people pass and know the pain their in and incurable deseases, knowing full well there's not much we can do. I'm sorry she has to go through this, and that you all have to be there to watch her slip away. if there's anything i can do, let me know.

there's no need to apologize.it is terrible.I don't live near Kelly as she lives close to my sister in another state. I know it's hard for sharron to be watching and I can't even imagine what kelly's parents are going through. I really ticks me off when a child goes before the parents.

OH- I'm terrible sorry for Kelly's pain and cancer- It is a hard disease- Pain meds don't always work- but I bet they are taking some of the pain away- It has to be hard just knowing that you are not going to make it- I'm sending positive thoughts and wishes to Kelly and her family- Cancer- what a terrible disease!

thanks for the support. She is in a great deal of pain even with the meds but it would be so much worse if she didn't have the meds. I liked the picture of that kitty.looks like my kitty Moose.

oh dear, it has only been a year now since I first learned of IBC. It sounds so much more ravaging than the other form that we are so familiar with. It is very sad. I will try to remember Kelly in my prayers.

Yes,it is. I feel so sad for her kids but i feel so bad for her mother.I think it's downright awful for a child to go before a parent.

Bless You jersey. I'm so sorry. I haven't been on here much the last couple of days because I've been busy again. I am going to place Kelly on my prayer list. I know things don't look too hopeful right now but God is still in control. My mother, kids and I went to a concert which was actually a worship service last night. The group singing was the Crabb Family, a Southern gospel group from Kentucky. They sing a song called "Through the Fire" and this song talks about this very thing. God may seem far away at times like this but he always will be in control and has a will for our lives. I pray that if it is His will that Kelly will be healed and have more precious time with her family.
