Quite often I would brood upon those days of yonder wherein relationships reigned supreme than monetary considerations . How things have changed drastically over the past two decades ...heartbreaking. Traditions, values , love and affection have all been sidelined . Physical might and money power reign supreme. For poor souls , life has become really hard accommodating !

I will have to agree with you on that. In Singapore, where i'm from, they (the government) call it the system of meritocracy. Obviously, the more money you have, the more power you are given and others are just a minute part of the whole system. Too many people are caught up in the rat race and there is just no end to it. Just to eke out a living is tough. I have 3 jobs to juggle and i'm thinking of more than i can do. Obviously, we are all trading our time for money. While the rich make their money work for them. - Lyn

I know how you feel. Growing up in a small country and a small country town with not too many in the population at the time was just great, we had just enough to eat and mum made all our clothes, dad worked as a coal miner and got quite a good pay for the month, we weren't well off but we made our own fun, fishing, swimming, swinging on vines, making aeroplanes to fly with the other kids of the district. Going to sunday school was a great way to learn respect and values, but sadly that has all gone and in this new modern world it is replaced with hate, violence, disobiendence, greed, and lust. Oh for the days of housework that took all day to do, pride in what you achieved, no tv, wonderful church values, and respect for all mankind. I don't know that I like the new world with all mod cons at a terrible cost to mankind. I pray for all those bringing up their children today and that includes my beautiful grandchildren and great grandaughter. God Bless All.

Hi, sukumar 794, You are right. By advent of TV, cell, internet everything is changing. Established custom, revered tradition and cherished belief are on the decline. Now a day people give more importance to money and do not give much importance to traditional values. Modern generation is more selfish. It is not their mistake. Modern generation's brought up is such. They do not care even father and mother. When they grew up they consider their wife and children is only people they are obligated even in certain cases that feeling is also doest not exit.
