Time for a car wash

I do not really like driving. I find it stressful. Even though I have the luxury to drive the company's van, I do not drive it to work. I drive only when I need to travel to client's place. That was years ago. So often, after the day, the car would be dirty as I travel to some ulu and sandy place. It is worst if it rains. I will have the car washed the next sunny day. However, I do not wash it myself. I pay someone to help me wash it. On weekends, I do wash the car myself, however, I get my siblings to help. I find it tedious to wash the van myself. I do not have a maid. Friends, if the car is yours, do you wash the car yourself? Or do you find helpers to help you wash the car? Or you pay someone to wash the car yourself? If you do not own the car, will you still wash the car? Are you kind enough to help wash the car if asked to? Kindly share. Thanks.

We don't own a car now but when we were living in Samoa we did. My husband would wash the car everytime in the weekend (when he wasn't busy). That lasted all but of one month and there after he would take it to the car wash to have it washed. Now and then some students would have car wash days and I would take the car there and pay $10 tala for the car to be washed. I was happy that I helped out with their cause!

My car is very important to me. Driving means a lot to me. For both of those reasons I take good care of my car, but I don't wash it more than maybe 3 times a year. I refuse to pay money for someone else to wash a car because...that's like paying someone to keep your house clean. You should be able to do that yourself. I usually ask my dad to help me wash my car. But I'm also perfectly capable of spending a few hours making my car nice and clean when it's needed.

Car washing is one of the loathsome task on my list. I waited for the car to accumulate 6 inches deep of dirt before I throw it in the shop for some serious bath. I just don't like to do the car washing. Sometimes, I kept thinking it might be better not to have any car at all. Just think about the gas price and the cost of maintenance.

I think there are 2 reasons why some car owners like to wash their own cars. Firstly, they save money. It is cheaper, I think, to wash your own car then give it to the professional car washes. Secondly, they are worried about scratches. Some professionals are not that professional after all and since the car is their baby, they want to take care of it well. They can't bear to see it come to any harm or hurt.

i dislike driving too. i only drive to work, and that's because i have to. else i won't have any transport. oh, actually i take the train to work but park my car at the train station. i hate driving because people drive like mad on the road! plus my parking skills sucks lol. i don't wash my car myself, there's someone who comes to my house like once a month to wash our cars.

I am the one that washes my car, but I always go to the self serve car wash because it has high pressure sprayers so that I can get all of the bugs off the front of my car (sounds disgusting I know). But my husband has to wash our truck since I am so short and have a hard time washing the top of the hood and camper shell. LOL

Me too.. I prefer bike riding to car driving . Sorry Lol ., The situation pertains to our living conditions up here in INDIA where a motorcycle is the common man's vehicle.

i don't like driving either. and i haven't had the privilege of washing a car before. i can drive but would rather now. perhaps when i own a car I'll just go to the petrol station and pay them 5 bucks to wash it. time is money and washing car takes too much time and effort!

I'll just let somebody wash the car or bring it to a car wash. I do not know how to wash a car. I don't know where to start. Even if I do own the car, I would let someone else wash it for me.
