What can we do to eliminte poverty?

There is so much poverty around the world. What is one thing that you can do to help reduce it? One way I am working to reduce poverty is by abstaining from eating meat. 1/3 or more of the world's grain is going to feed the cows that we slaughter for meat. It takes 16 lbs of grain to make 1 lb of edible meat for human consumption. If the world reduced its meat eating habits, then it would free up more grain to feed the hungry world.
