Has a book or movie ever changed your views of the world?

Have you ever seen a movie or read a book that completely changed the way you see the world? This might seem silly to some people but the move The Matrix really changed the way that I view the world. It made me realize that a lot of things in this world aren't what they seem to be, and that there are a lot of truths hidden beneath the surface of perceived reality that you can easily find if you only bother to look.

No, but many books and movies provoke me to think, to analyze and to reform some parts of my thinking. But actually this is not a real change and i am sceptic when i hear that somebody`s life was changed when he have seen curent movie or book.

You say current book or movie. Does that mean that you think someone is just caught up with how new the book or movie is and how popular the movie is at the time? Would you be less skeptical if someone said that about a book or a movie if it had been around for a long time? I just ask for clarification on that because the movie I mentioned, I did not see when it first came out. I actually saw it for the first time a few years after it was first released. I should also say that the movie The Matrix was not completely responsible for my changed views of the world. What that movie did was cause me to question things more and it was the research that I did after seeing that movie that really changed things for me.
