Let me ask you a question...Where does God "exist", in a man made building or in your very own heart? I'm guessing your answer is He exists in your heart. Yes, going to church is important because it helps to surround yourself with other believers so that you stay on the right path BUT it really isn't what being a "good Christian" is all about. Anyone can walk into a church and listen to the sermon, even non-believers. That alone won't make you a good Christian. What matters is what is in your heart. God can see that in your heart you want to be a good Christian. He knows that you love to go to church but aren't always able to. More importantly, He knows that you love him. Continue to love him whether you are in church or at home and He will see that you get your reward. Quote from my late grandmother who was never able to go to church services as much as she would have liked to...she would have been 94 on June 28th: "Sitting in church will not make me a Christian any more than sitting in a garage will make me a car."
