I realize they were running out of places to take the show and some of the actors were ready to move on, but I still miss it. It isn't even on in reruns where I am. It seems to me they could have squeezed another season, maybe even two, of good buffy fun and fighting. What do you think?

I watched it as an adult and it was great from that view point, also. The only quibble I had was that they made SMG go blonde after the first season or so and I think she looked better as a brunnette. But they had to have that so called CA girl image for her.

Her actual real life natural hair color is brunette. So they may have done it in stages but I think she is much better looking with her natural hair color.

I didn't feel that she was a true brunette the first season, she had a dirty blond shade in my opinion, which didn't make the blonde move seem too out of character

You could try the new Buffy comics that Joss Wheedon is writing and which take up from where season seven ended. They're called The Long Journey Home and are published by Dark Horse, brilliant stuff!

Someone already suggested that and if I'm going to read, I'm going to read my Scienc Fiction magazines that I am way behind on.

Not sure if you are int it or not but they do have a lot of different comics and graphic novels that revolve around the Buffy theme. Some of them are awesome and some are ok .. if you are a fan of the show you will like they way they kill in some of the plot holes and missing things from the shows.

Thanks for the information but I'm mostly just interested in the show. If I'm going to read, it will be true science fiction in the form of stories in Analog or Asimov's or novels. I just thought it was a well done show and the characters were well developed and interacted well together. Oh, well it is not like there aren't other shows on that I like.

I know you said you aren't interested in reading, But I wanted to put in a good....or actually great word for the new Buffy comic. It's an Unofficial Buffy Season 8 from the show, and it's written by Joss Whedon himself. While it's not as good as the show (and really, what is), I am really enjoying the comic. Becuase it's written by Joss, it really has the flovor of the show. Sometime while I am reading it, I cna actally hear the actors voices in my head, it's just like watching the show all over again. While I wish Buffy was still on, I understand why it had to end, and I'm glad it ended while it was still good, unlike some shows, which just get run into the ground.

I never even read comic books much as a kid. The comic may be good, being written by Joss and all, but as I said I want to spend what little time I have to read these days on true science fiction. You are probably right it was best to end it while it was still good.

I know what you mean... I got into Buffy very late, so they were already airing the second batch of reruns over here. :( I still haven't seen all the episodes, but the fact that the show is finished makes me miss it anyway.

I got into after about the first couple of seasons, but have seen all of it I think thanks to reruns and many shows several times. Some people can't understand watching reruns of something you have seen, but you can forget stuff and you can notice stuff you missed the first time.

I also miss Buffy. I loved Spike even though he could be a jerk. The show got better after the first season. In the beginning it was a bit corny with all those stupid sound effects. I was surprised to read that it was on for some many seasons. I only watched it in reruns. I watched the spinoff Angel, that was good too. I haven't seen either in reruns since last year. Charmed is also a real good show and it is still on tv in reruns. It is about 3 poweful witches called the charmed ones. I beieve it is on TNT.

I'm not sure if they'll ever squeeze in a Buffy cameo, but there is another spin-off in the works. Here is the information: http://www.terrortube.com/templates/view.php?go=item&n=224

I definitely miss Buffy, I don't think a TV show will ever be made again that can match it. I'm not sure whether they should have carried on, as I much preferred the earlier seasons to the last couple, but I did and still love it. I guess they were getting too old or something...

me too.. i was so hoping that they could manage another spin off. i had this fan-fic centered around a coven like group, recruiting a promising teen with witching powers and the group had willow as an all powerful goddess-like mistress and a couple of newer slayers hanging around and occasional fights with werewolfs and of course the vampires.. how about that?
