What is the oldest language?????

I beleive its Tamil or Latin..What do you think??Do you know which one is older????

Both tamil and latin have some sanskrit roots. sanskrit is the oldest language.

i have heard that there are proofs that tamil came before 1000yrs of sanskrits origin!!

well the harappa and mohenjodaro civilisations were dravidian civilizations, and tamil is the oldest dravidian language if thats what you mean, but even that time, the aryans were not non-existent, they were one of the hoarding tribes of central Asia who spread in various directions.

hi coolgeth!! I think sanskrit is oldest and first language in which we see many historical books like mahabharat,ramayan,baghavatham,panchatantram wirtten some lakhs years ago.and it is a base for all other indian languages.Tamil may be the first language first people started speaking after sanskrit.Do you have anything written before the sanskrit..i wonder and really dont know.

According to my knowledge the oldest language is Hindi. The people from the earliest civilization were Aryans who used to speak Hindi.
