Handwash or automatec washing machine?

Honestly, handwash is one of the housework that I most hated. I really don't like to scrub, brush and rinse over and over again in the tiny bathroom and get all my clothes wet after tat.
I'm dying to have a washing machine, due to financial limit, I still haven't manage to owe one and therefore i still have to wash my own laundry twice every week.
Guess what, out of so many lucky prizes, the one that I wishes to win most is a .....AUTOMATED WASHING MACHINE!
I am just wonder, do you prefer handwash even you have an automated washing machine? Why?

I think handwash would be cool - as long as it is not me washing lol.
We use the washing machine for "normal" clothes. But for those more elaborate ones, my Mum will handwash them.
This is not a fun chore at all.:P

i use both of them,hand-wash and washing machine.some material of cloths like silk,velvet are not suitable for machine wash,its better washing with warm water by hand.

Yes, delicate cloth like leather, silk and velvet need extra care. Handwashing daily casual wear could be quite exhausted for a full time employee.

hi serena_wai,we dont have washing machine at home becoz we have water problem in summer.we dont get enough water at that time.Here we cont wash our clothes ourselves.We have so many people for this work in my place.They come to our home daily and take our clothes with them ,wash,iron and then return to us with a small fee.So we use that facility dont have to bother about that.Personally i too hate wahing clothes by hand,most irritating and my hand become hard if i do so.

auto-mated washing machine would do me..i mean..they run on their own, and you dont need to do anything...except press a buttons on it to start it off.
hand wash takes ages and can not always work...
auto-mated will do a good job with no worries
but if you get bored...you can use hand wash i guess :P
