Happy Canada Day! What are you doing on you holiday?

Happy Canada Day to fellow Canadians out there on Mylot. What are your plans for Canada Day. I used to go to see fireworks in Toronto every year but now it is not so hot with the fireworks. There are however tons of kids events, facepainting bouncerama clowns music etc...My man took the boys today so this is my first one off ever. I will go to the fireworks later. I would love to be able to go to a cabin or something for the long week but it is still cold and that would cost a future we don't have. How do you spend you Canada Day?

I am not yet a Canadian but I have been living here as an immigrant for 8 months now. I wanted to go to the Parliament Hill but my in-laws who are visiting did not want me and the kids to come because they are afraid the kids might get sick or something due to the weather which is quite cold for their point of view. Too bad for me and the kids. We cannot object. So we are just watching the events from our TV set. Maybe tomorrow we can go to the Andrew Haydon Park where there are musical shows and rides. Even if I'm from Canada, I don't celebrate canada day. I am from the province of Quebec and here we celbrate more our national day the St-Jean Baptiste witch was June 24.
Here the 1st of July have simply become the moving day. It's the day that everyone is moving.
I'M happy to be a part of the great country call canada and I wish to all the canadians a Happy Canada Day. I will let the opther celebrate for me :)
