I'm Canadian, but yet I really don't like the Canadian band Nickleback or the Canadian singer, Avril Lavigne. Nickleback used to be good, but now I find thier sound repetitive and annoying. They're HIGHLY overplayed here, too. As for Avril Lavigne, when she released the song 'Complicated' I thought she was decent. Everything single she released after that was overplayed, and seemed talentless. I hate her voice, and when she released her new pseudo-cheerleader-chant 'Boyfriend', it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Here she is married, and trying to project a more mature image than her 'Punk/Skater Princess' one, and she's singing a Pop anthem about stealing someone's boyfriend? She couldn't think of anything more mature to release on her new album? I also hate the fact that no matter how mature she appears, she's still a disrespectful little twit that spits on the paparazzi (ALL stars hate the paparazzi, but SPITTING ON THEM? C'mon!) and has NEVER given an intelligent interview. The boy band Hanson. MmmBop was played ALL THE TIME here, and I despised the song from the first time I heard it. They were 3 guys that looked like ugly women and couldn't really sing -- that was their niche. I'm glad they dropped into oblivion. Britney Spears. I'll admit to liking a few of her songs, but she annoys me to the edges of the earth. What about you?
