If you had time machine, where would you go and why?

I think I'd like to go back to the Medieval times, wear period clothing, and dazzle people with my 'sorcery'.
Of course, I'd probably get burned at the stake for being a witch sooner or later, so I'd just have be resourceful and find my way back to my time machine so I could come home.
Going back before September 11th, and being able to warn someone in power that a great tragedy was about to happen would be good, too.
Or maybe I could go back to sacrifice myself, tell airport security there were bombs at Logan, Dulles and Newark, and since I'd be the obvious culprit, would probably be incarcerated for a very long time. I would have saved countless lives and possibly stopped a senseless war, though.

Wow, you sure are someone who can get involved in paving new roads for the future as well as the present and past. If I could time-travel, I would like to go to so many different time-frames that choosing just one feels quite impossible. I think my first time-travel(s) would have to be to undetermined time-frame(s) in the slightly distant future where I would hope to find a cloaking device so I could travel back in time to study without being detected, hence preventing a tear in the fabric of the space-time continuum.

i would go back to the 80's just because i want to see what it wasl ike back then and how the people were..and wehat they were like
