Friendster, myspace and other networking sites requires an email address. So, like for example, you got more than one networking accounts, you'll probably have bunch of email address. Would you delete your yahoo email if you don't use it anymore or just abandon it? To delete your yahoo mail: https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user I abandoned some of my emails before because I didn't know that we can actually delete a yahoo account. It will take months before the availability of your old username.
