Has anyone ever been to Atlantic Beach, North Carolina?

If you have been there, can you describe it for me? I will be going there for a week vacation starting this weekend and would like to know as much about it as possible. Did you enjoy it? What is there to see and do there? I hear the beaches are great in North Carolina. Is the food there good? The last time I was in North Carolina was when me and a friend drove to Disneyworld and my car battery died on me in North Carolina. LOL

I have not been to Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, but I have heard it is extremely beautiful..Now I am so jealous..I am still waiting for my vacation..You will have to take your laptop on vacation..do you have one?? and let us know how it is...
I surely hope you car battery doesnt die again..No no no..not with the beautiful car..
I would say the trip will be a true test on your new car..don't you..

I will definitely be taking pictures with my digital camera. However I do not have a laptop yet so I probably will not be able to get online til I get home from my trip. I doubt the battery on my new car would die on a trip like this one.

I have visited a lot of NC beaches and all of them are nice. I haven't stayed at Atlantic Beach, we just drove through, and it is a lovely spot. Atlantic Beach is a lot more laid back then Myrtle Beach so you should have a relaxing time. If you like seafood there is plenty to be had, to me thats one of the highlights about staying at the beach. Enjoy your vacation and let us know how it went.

Thank you for that information. I definitely appreciate it and will look forward to the fine seafood and the nice beaches and everything. I will definitely let everyone know how it went when I get back. A relaxing time is just what the doctor ordered for me. :-) I am sure the beaches there are nicer than the ones up here.

I forgot to mention that NC is famous for pulled pork BBQ. I am in Western NC and the BBQ is different from the eastern part of the state. Both are great. Just a little something else to look out for when you are vacationing in NC.

I don't live that far from Atlantic Beach. I've been there a few times. It's nice. It's more of a family-oriented beach. There are also a lot of shops and things to do while you are there. If you drive a little further past the main beach, you can go by Fort Macon State Park. Food is so-so along the beach. There are quite a few seafood buffet places if you're interested in that.

I am definitely looking for a relaxing time and hopefully good weather and good food. I like to shop so I am sure I will be buying some things while I am there. I am also sure I will be visiting other cities as well and doing plenty of sightseeing. Thank you for telling me about all the nice things there.

I've been there, and it was so great. I love beaches that's why. There's a variety of seafood restaurants and my favorite is the Sanitary. The best to go there is summertime! but of course, there's a lot of people and the place would be busy.

It is really nice there and would love to go there again. They do have some very good seafood restaurants. There was one there that I went to twice and definitely miss it. I do not remember seeing Sanitary while I was down there. I did go last summer. Beaches are great and seems like there is a lot to do down there.
