Most of the time, my mom controls the remote control of the TV. My husband and I are not so interested in TV. It's no a big problem what to watch. However, when my husband and I stay together, then sometimes we will fight to watch from TV. It's common that we have our own favorites.

It never was a problem at our house. My husband was never a remote hog.If I was watching something in the living room, then he would go into our room or our daughter's room and watch tv.Most of the time we liked the same shows.Alot of time I was too busy on the computer working on my book and he would watch tv in the living room.Well, jokingly I'll say that he didn't take the remote with him,so I still don't have a problem.Lol. Our pastors birthday was last week and his wife was away with their daughter and he said he was going to get her a present her own remote!Lol.

I usually control the remote. I'm a big channel surfer. My husband and I usually like to watch the same things so it doesn't cause too much of a fight between us.

I am, when it's just me watching...but whenever it's the whole family, then it's my dad who handle the TV controller.

I hate to say it but my partner controls the remote control here! He always sits up later than I do so he thinks that it is fair that if I want to watch something I can go and watch it in the bedroom, which is fair enough as if he went to bed and watched tv I would annoy him when I then went to bed! Most of the time though we do watch the same programs so it isnt that bad!

Its always my eldest brother who controls the remote even if my mom is around. He's very superior on it and we don't like watching tv with him because he always switch channels during commercials. We always fight together because we have different favorites hehehe

My grandkids keep breaking remote controls in my house, so, we just have to get off our lazy duff and change the channel manually. I think it makes us sit through a whole tv show more often since it actually takes a little effort to change to a show we are interested. However, if my grandson had his way, we'd get a new remote, and he'd have control, since he thinks cartoons are better than anything his mother or I want to watch

watching tv - I have to say that it is my son who controls the remote control of the TV set. He loves to watch cartoons and martial arts movies and such.
Hello youless. I have to say that it is my son who controls the remote control of the TV set. He loves to watch cartoons and martial arts movies and such. But we enjoy the same program of seven-o'clock news every day. My wife uses the Internet most of the time and sometimes I also use my laptop to surf online, leaving my son watching TV or vice versa.

My husband controls the remote most of the time because he watches the most television. Occasionally when we watch tv together we will get into an argument because he flips around way too much for my liking. Sometimes he doesn't even wait for a commercial before he flips to another show. Frankly it drives me nuts so I just go watch one of the other 4 televisions we have in our house. It is the easiest way to keep the peace.

I too rarely watch TV at home. I spend most of my time infront of the computer. I watch some sitcoms that all of my family watch. These are fixed and my entire family likes to watch them. I dont have any problems with the remote. But my brother and sister often fight over the remote.
