Everyone grows old, that's the fact of life. If you had to be one, which would you want to be: a. Old and Blind. b. Old and Deaf. c. Old and can't walk. d. Old and Mute. e. Old and Forgetful. f. Old and always sleepy. Choose only one. Sample, if you choose a. Old and blind, this means you can talk, you can hear right, you can walk, you can even run and jump, you have a very nice memory, not at all sleepy all the time, BUT you are blind. And so on... Which one would you rather be when you grow old?

this is really tough... I cant be blind or not able to walk because I like to play sports and go downhill skiing, and I am in marching band, and marching is tough without walking (I know blind people can ski too, just not the way I like to, since it involves a lot of speed and bumps!!! Also, a blind person or somebody in a wheel chair can do marching band, but it isnt the same.) I cant be deaf because I am a multi-instrumentalist and play 2 instruments everyday on average (yeah, Beethoven went deaf, but I enjoy listening to myself and others play music) I cant be mute because sign language is too hard, and I work at a grocery store where the more I talk with a customer (generally speaking, anyways,) the more I make in tips. Now I may not be working as a bagger when I am 70, but I still am a very social person. I cant be old and forgetful, because i need to memorize music for marching band and piano recitals. I cant be old and always sleepy because I am already sleepy enough as it is, and the days dont seem long enough already. I guess I would choose old and always sleepy because I could hire somebody (using the money from mylot, of course!) to follow me with a spray bottle and spray me when I look like Im about to fall asleep.

Hahaha.. You are funny. It's funny about hiring someone to follow you with spray bottle to spray you. hahahhaa... I could only imagine! Thank you so much for trying your best to have the best possible positive thinking with the situations mentioned above. Take care, and maybe someday you'll have to hire me to spray you whenever you are sleepy. hahahha... cool one.

$10 an hour? are you kidding me? That'll be a few years more. What could I buy with $10 that time?! The equipment is ok I can use my saliva if I run out of water. hahahaha *LOL* Gross!

How does $10 dollars an hour sound? Or whatever is a few bucks above minimum wage. Just be prepared to buy your own equipment (spray bottle, bottled water in case there is not water available to refill the bottle, replacement spray bottle in case it wears out from overuse...)

Oh thank you for asking me too. =) I was going over the things that I listed but have chosen around 3 possibilities. Like you, I don't want to be blind. Because I love looking at nature and it's wonderful colors, and I love to paint. Like you, I don't want to be deaf and mute for I like listening and talking to people a lot. Plus I also play musical instruments. So I'd rather be: Can't walk... I can have a wheel chair or a car always on standby for me to go to places. I don't enjoy physical activities as much so it isn't difficult for me not to walk. =) but I'd hope by that time, all the great locations of the world would have a place where the disabled could be to reach all the sites. Forgetful... It's ok for me to be forgetful, as long as I have a person to well document everything about me, my stories, my friends everything. So as to remind me. But I hope I won't forget paying him/her their salary. *LOL* Plus I'd have a nurse to take care of me, if ever I forgot how to defecate or piss. hahaahaha.. Always sleepy... I didn't have the same ingenuity that you posted (having someone with a spray bottle) *LOL* But was thinking that I might be sleepy all the time but I didn't say I AM ASLEEP ALL THE TIME. =) There's a big difference there. Just sleepy. Thanks again for asking me. Thank you for posting too.. Take care with the spray bottle. =)

Oh my! These are not good choices really..lol. I don't want to be any of the following. You see, I want to grow old gracefully. I wanna be old, wise, healthy, contented, pretty, and happy. These are realistic goals for me. It is not impossible

Regardless of how we prepare ourselves with old age, we simply couldn't really know what happens to us. The choices really aren't as bad as you think they are. I didn't say there old but diabetic, or old but sick, or old but paralyzed. :) I'd tell you a story of my grandmother. She's going to be 80 this year. She's one of those people who really know how to enjoy life. She's go dancing, eating with friends, staying out under the sun, everything was good. She didn't have any disease or wasn't sick. She's the healthiest grandmother that I know of. She doesn't have hypertension, doesn't statter when she talks. Nothing. She was perfect. Until suddenly, she met an accident. We had to replace her hip with titanium. This happened last April 30. Till now she couldn't walk anymore, all the sickness in the world appeared, her blood pressure is fluctuating. She's now very thin. All the bad things have happened. And we don't know why. Maybe it's just because of age. So, I tell you. You cannot really prepare for the future regardless of what you do. So why not stick to the choices above? Things could be a lot worst than those choices above. =) Thanks for your thoughts though. Wishing you the best in your old age. =)

That's kinda difficult. I think I won't choose any of the choices. I'd rather die anyway. How will you enjoy your golden years if that your old and have too many disabilities.

Well, no one knows if we'd die young or die old anyways. =) at least this topic tries to let you choose. Take it easy. Disabilities should not stop anyone from enjoying life's joys. Thanks for the comment though. Send me a comment next time when you've chosen one of the list. =) Good luck! Happy posting!

C or F. Just because you can't walk doesn't mean you can't get around, they have wheel chairs, F because all people get sleepy when they get old. I wouldn't have a problem with the first or second one because my brother is blind and he's doing so well for himself and that's an inspiration right there. My grandfather is very hard of hearing and he's doing pretty well for himself.
