Yes, a couple of years ago my husband gave me a pair of diamond earrings and a few months ago, I lost one of them at work. They were a Christmas gift that he was so excited that he was able to get me and I loved them. Now, I have one to remember them by but the set is gone forever. I was heartbroken that they were lost. They had such a special meaning behind them and yet, I actually didn't know that it fell out of my ear.

I imagine you were heartbroken. Maybe you could have the remaining earring made into a finger ring or a pin? I know when a relative got a lovely black hills gold watch band that was too large she had the links that were removed made into a lovely ring.

I lost my engagement ring once, and it broke my heart. I ended up finding it behind a bowl on the counter by the sink. Oh, I was so happy to have found that. I really thought I was going to cry!

I understand how you could feel so sad at losing something so special. It is not easy to overcome that kind of regret! I know. I am so very happy that I found my engagement ring. I think I would have been like you and be very sad for a very long time if I didn't!

When we married my husband and I exchanged very simple wedding bands. On our twentieth ann. he gave me a beautiful new set of rings, wedding, engagement and a friendship ring. I LOST them, all but the friendship ring, which was in my jewelry case. We were rving, I had taken the rings off as they kept catching in the yarn while I was knitting. When I went to put the rings back on they were gone. We stripped that camper looking for them but never found them. We figure they must have gotten caught in a paper napkin or something and it must have gone out with the trash. Sweet husband offered to buy new ones, but I declined. I still am wearing that friendship ring in place of a wedding band 20 years later.

I lost my wedding ring. Twice. My husband bought me another wedding band after I lost my original ring and what do you know? I lost that too. Relax, it's not the worst thing, I've managed to keep my husband though I lost the rings.

I had an unforgettable day with me regarding this. befor our marriage, my hubby gifted me a very cute little doll when we were in college and I admired that gift the most in my angel. Actually, it was like an angel given to me. But one day when I was to my home, I didnt find it in its placs where I us to keep it always. I found out in each and every place in my room then in my whole house but cudnt find it. I bursted on my mother badly fo rthat where cud a small thing go from my room, it had really flied away or what. I creid badly the whole day. After that day, my mother come to know that our maid during her day dusting broke that and because she as so scared that she just throwed away in the dustbin and didnt informed anybody.....I was like speechless, i hoped if she wud have atleast informed mom, then I could have stick it with a glue :-(

When my son was 6 weeks old on Valetine's Day my husband went out and bought me a set of earrings and a matching encklace from them for my 1st Valentine's as a mother. I lost one of the earrings one day and was so upset I packed the necklace and other earring up and haven't worn them since. I would love to get a replacement earring. It wasn't even something I would have picked out myself but I loved them and they were sentimental. I am still really sad about it 3 years later.
