Having a cold is not pleasant at all. But I think having a cold in the summer is the worst. It's all hot and sticky outside and you are sitting around with snot coming out your nose. And your whole body aches you really dont feel like moving. And the heat just adds to it all. Don't you just hate getting a cold in the summer time? On top of every thing else you cant breath right and the sucks when its hot out.

I hate colds Period! But yes- having a cold in the summer stinks too- You want to go outside and play- but you feel like crawling in bed and sleeping- or having someone sit on your head to relieve the pressure- Then again in the winter- I can't get warm when I have a cold- so any time they stink!

Yes, you are exactly right, it really is miserable to have a summertime cold. I often feel as though I can't breathe when I am very warm, and to have a cold on top of that is miserable. The cold also zaps one's energy at a time when they long to be out having fun! Sadly, the warm, moist enviornments of summer can easily breed bacteria and viruses...we really need to be diligent about washing our hands, which is the single best way to prevent becoming sick!

I agree summer colds are the worst. I have been lucky I have not had a cold in two years. I also do not have little germ factories at home or do I work. When I frist started working at the hospital I came home with every cold, pneumonia, and bronchitis, and stomache flu that was passed around. I brought it home to the family. LOL. Then I built up a resistance and did better throughout the years. I only got the bad stuff like pneumonia and graves disease, Meniers disease, migraines, and other stupid things like that.

Getting a cold in the summer completely sucks! Man, you can hear everyone playing on the streets, you start imagining people swimming, enjoying, doing all those kind of stuff, and you there: on a bed, unable to move nor to do anything. You can't breath very well, to make you worse. You just get angry because you cannot do anything to help yourself. Really sucks.

Yes it is true,I get cold anf flu in summer too.Actually it is like a allergy,in summer we stays in air conditioner and for suppose if we had to go outside there will be hot,so sudden changes in temperature makes me allergic or you can say I gets cold.Same thing with body aches is,when you stays long time in air conditioner your muscles get sore and makes your body hurts.I hate winter more than summer because in winter my condition gets even more worst if I catch flu or cold.

I haven't had a cold this summer (knock on wood). I'm very glad too. I know what you are talking about and it isn't fun. At least in the winter, there are other people who are experiencing what you are, so it doesn't feel as uncomfortable. You don't want to be locked up in your house all day when there is such good weather also. I hope that you get over your cold soon. And have a very happy 4th of July!
