I do not think anyone who is financially free would be here at mylot except perhaps to hang out, because a few dollars more is probably what he or she is not looking for... I am however on the way, so maybe I can help. I think the best way for anyone to be on the way to financial freedom is by investing in equity based mutual funds or directly in stocks, but that is not an easy task for anyone who is employed full time. That way, you earn an inflation beating return on your investment. But to balance it all out, you do need to invest in debt or money market too, so that you do not loose sight of your goals. (Equity markets can go down in the short term, leaving you feeling blue) Check my blogs on my profile page for more info especially the one on investing.

As for me, I feel that it is the greatest of freedoms. If your finances are too low , you are likely to be harassed from all quarters , especially from your debtors. Hence it is sound finance is absolutely needed for peaceful living.
