Secret ingredients?

I make these killer sweet and sour meatballs-- the secret ingredient in the sauce is grape jelly. Sounds gross, but it is sooooo good mixed in with the spicy, tomatoey sauce. I also add a bit of dark chocolate to my chili recipe-- just a bit. What are some "secret" ingredients that you add to your recipes?

LOL, mine is grape jelly to, but I add it to Bar-B-Q sause that goes on my mini smoke sausages. I put both in my crock pot and let them cook for an 1hour or so. Man they are so good. The jelly just adds enought to take the sting for the sauce out. They are a favorite here.

I love love love using grape jelly and chili sauce. I use it for meatballs and for little smokies (the kids BEG for them every year for xmas eve dinner and its become a tradtion LOL). As for secret ingredients, I use garlic and herbs in my mashed potatoes and if a recipe calls for a cream soup, instead of milk, I use sour cream. Makes it oh so creamy.
