Do you like mash potato?

I am a huge fan of mash potato.I like to add cream cheese ,butter ,milk ,salt and pepper into my mash potato.For the leftover mash potato i will add some new ingredients to turn into a new dish.
I usually add the cooked stir fry anion,sausage,mushroom,green beans,and bacon into it and sprinkle some cheese on top of it and pop it into the oven .
Bake for approximately 15 minutes .In fact the mash potato and those added ingredients had already cooked ,the most important is to make sure the cheese is fully melted.
So how do you like mash potato or it's your least favorite food?Please share.

I lurve the stuff! I especially like the potato mashed with a little butter and then with some Oxo gravy to moisten it, yum!
I often add onion, garlic or chilli to mash for my partner as he likes all of these, and to ring the changes when we have a very simple meal I grate cheese into the mash and pop it into the over so that the whole mash is cheese flavoured.
I do not like it myself, but mashed potato can be fried with cabbage to make a dish called bubble and squeak.
The strangest lover of mashed potato in our household is our ring necked rosella. She can not get enough of the stuff and goes beserk when she smells the potatoes boiling. If she does not get her share she nearly wrecks the cage by rattling the bars until she gets hers!

Wow! Your partner is really a potato nuts..yeah..:)You better don't eat them all by your self....LOL
Oh,i am so impressed with your special way of potato recipe that fried with cabbage ..it's very interesting.i have never heard about it.Hmm..... might want to try it.

Wow - I love mashed potatoes but usually potatoes, a little milk and butter and mash em. Add lots of butter afterwards - I like to make a lake of butter in the middle of the potatoes :)
I will have to try your way though it sounds really good.

I'm sure I will, I like all of the ingredients you add and except for sausage and potatoes we have everything in the house already. LOL do however have a box of instint mashed potatos which I actually love also :) just may be making a trip to the kitchen shortly. Opps another thing to delay doing what I should be doing.

it does sound good, and I often do similar depending on what leftovers I have on hand.
taco filling is pretty good on them, or broccoli and cheese
spread on top of leftover meatloaf is good too...
they really are a versitle food, but still I find the most comforting to be what byfaithonly has described.
guess my preference depends if I am looking for comfort food or a meal.

I like mashed potatoes every once in a while. I just add butter, salt and milk to mine. Sometimes I throw in some shredded cheese too cause my hubby like them that way. But if I'm sick then all I want to eat is mashed potatoes. I guess it makes me feel better for some reason.

No, I don't like mashed potatos. I LOVE mashed potatos! lol
I make them the same way you do except for the cream cheese.
I also like them when they are made with red potatos and I like garlic mashed potatos too.

I love mashed potatoes. I do it like you...I can add fried onions, mushrooms to it....tomato sauce, mushroom sauce...I like it with any vegetables....

My son and I also another huge fans of mash potatoes lol.
The potatoes must be well cooked and with no granular after mashing. Both or us like only mash potatoes with egg, milk, butter, salt and pepper added to it. We will not feel fed up to take it all the time.

Mashed potatos are very tasty and very easy to cook. However we don't add either butter or cheese into it, we boil some oil in a pan, saut some finely chopped onions sliced green chilly, a little ginger, chopped garlic and curry leaves and then put the mashed potato into it add salt and some pepper and cook it stirring for a few minutes. We don't use it as a main dish but as a supplimentary to rice or chappathi or some other things.
Your preperation is exotic to us, but since given in detail here I may try it once. Thank you for the interesting topic.

I like mashed potatoes. It is not our staple food but I like it anyway. I only eat mashed potatoes served at Kentucky Fried Chicken. I don't know how it is prepared but I guess you just boil the potatoes and mashed them with milk and sugar. It is like our lowly sweet potato here.

hi, I also a big fan of mash potato but I don't like to add milk only chesse, butter, salt & pepper to my mash potato. especially if mash potato serve with steak that taste is very yummy. but too bad I don't know how to make mash potato. if anybody in here who knows the recipe to make mash potato. you may also tell me here. thanks again
