Why do people complain so much?

My dad is here at my house and we are staying here until my OB appt. Anyways, he had a bunch of Amex rewards points that he has asked her for months to find something and buy and she never did, so he asked me to. So I went and bought a $250 linens and things gift card, and also a couple of little things. So I call to tell her and all she does is complain. She says well we dont really need linens, and boy I dont know what else I could get, it seems like such a waste. HELLO?! She always complains that they dont have stuff for the house and this and that and now she is complaining?! Why???! How is free $250 ever a waste? I am so annoyed. Would you complain about a free gift card?

I thought $250 was good too, but to be honest, I would personally be happy with any gift card! LOL I love free money!! heehee

She should have done it and then she would not have anything to complain about, but I would never complain about free money, even to an expensive store!!

Her?? Your mom? I wouldn’t complain- But why didn’t she just choose what she wanted- so your dad didn’t have to get you involved. A free gift card is a great thing- I love Linens and Things- It’s such a great store- a bit expensive- but they run great sales- I’d take the card for your mom- (you) and then she won’t complain! Go buy some new stuff for the kids rooms-

helllll no! a free gift card is a free gift card to me regardless of what its for LOL i would take a $250 free gift card for linens any day. Maybe she is not having the best of days today?!? sorry to hear that!
