what filling do you like in your egg rolls? Do you make your own egg rolls? Do you buy premade noodles or make your own? Do you use lumpia/spring roll wrappers or eggroll wrappers? what do you like to dip your egg rolls in? if anything? I make my own filling, but not my own noodles. I can not decide between the lumpia and egg roll wrappers as a preference. I stuff mine usually with cabbage, carrots, ground pork and a variety of seasonings including garlic and ginger. I like to dip them in sweet and spicy mustard :)

I've actually never made my own egg rolls, I just eat what's put in front of me as far as what's in them or what comes out of a box frozen. I do love dipping in sweet and spicy mustard though and when I order take-out from a resturant I ask for extra packets so I'll have some to save for next time I get frozen ones :)

We buy these from Asian takeaways and the Chinese call them Spring Rolls or Mini Spring Rolls. They have cabbage, pork and carrot and pepper and a few other things as well. We dip them in soy sauce or any Asian sauce would be good I guess. I wonder why you call them egg rolls? I wonder too, why we know them as Spring Rolls? LOL.

here spring rolls and egg rolls are a little different, lumpia is more like the spring roll. I wonder why we call them egg rolls too. of course I do not make the noodle wrappers, maybe it has something to do with that? interesting

bean sprouts ..carrots make sure meat is fresh..except BBQ Pork prepare veggies ahead of time make sure filling is not ot soggy cool the filling before stuffing deep fry quickly..375 degrees peanut oil don't stack egg rolls you can freeze them for later use.. I use lumpia wrappers..but you can make your own but it is more work.. dipping sauces are optional but I like to make my own with sugar-vineagar-salt-food coloring and corn starch..hot mustard is good too.. it is all in taste..you put in the ingredients to taste..but bean sprouts are always a good start.

I love eggrolls but don't really know how to make them, specially the wrappers. I heard that we can buy them in the supermarket and them just do the filling - I guess that's what you do. I like your choice for the filling and now you got me thinking that I should try it LOL

i usually buy them,i've never tried making them. i have to be careful though, some of the ones i've seen for sale here have crab and i'm allergic. i'd had some with a type of seaweed in them that were pretty good, but that pork sounds delicious!

My mom makes these eggrolls that are addictive! You could literally just sit and eat a 100 of them! She makes them with noodles and cabbage and hamburger meat. We don't even dip them in sauce, we just salt them and eat them! They are so good like that! Yours sound pretty good too!

Hm i've never made my own, just bought them from Schwans and the local chinese places. I prefer just plain stuff inside, like carrots, and pork and the other normal stuff. I prefer no sauce to dip it in, just plain. I like them to be crispy too.

Oh, I wish that I had the time to try that! It sounds wonderful! As for me, when I need a chinese fix, I go to our local restaurant and fill up. I have gotten pre-made eggs rolls at the store, and they just don't compare to those I get at teh restaurant~ I like sweet and spicy mustard too....we have lots in commmon (LOL!)

Egg roll! love it..but i have never made it my own.Usually we have it at the Chinese restaurant ,it's pretty good .Each time we go there eggroll is alway in our order list. Well the stuffing is pretty much same as your homemade eggroll except the ginger .I like ginger i think it would taste better if they would add ginger in it.I like to deep in sweet chinese sauce.
