Questions, questions, more newbie questions--How to post from the Lists Section?

I just finished the last two discussions and another one presented itself. Mylot put this up..."When possible you should always start a new discussion from within one of your interests in the lists section." When I clicked on the profile I did not see it. Then I tried under the opposite side to the general discussion (where it says organize interests) nothing happened there. Could someone out there be so kind as to assist me with how to post from the list section? If you do I am thanking you in advance.
