First of all, this wasn't one of the best books I have ever read, but it was def. good and I did enjoy it. Now having said that random bit of information... I nromally know if I am going to like a main character by the first chapter, or at least the first two chapters. But what's odd about this book is I didn't start liking the main guy in Mary Mary until more towards the middle/end of the book! I mean his character was described and introduced well, but I just didn't seem to like him right off that bat. Which is even WEIRDER is he is my ideal character! He is a good father, a good detective, an all around good guy...I don't know why it took me so long to like him...but by the end of the book I loved him! lol This happen to anyone else (Not just with this book, with any book...or even movie!)

I've met Alex Cross in other books by Patterson so I came into it liking him. I don't feel as if he puts much effort into getting you to like him as some writers do. I think he feels that you should get to know him like you get to know anybody & learn to like him as you get to know him better. I can see why my sister likes James Patterson.

Yeah, James Patterson is great. Mary Mary was the first book that featured Alex Cross so maybe that's why I didn't like him a whole lot at first...I just wasn't used to him. Now I am! :)
