Hello everyone!
Well its time for the a holiday and I know thats when most of us do the worst. I was reading the responses from yesterday and I noticed a lot of us don't stay on track at festivities, weddings, parties, etc. I probably am the worse, BUT there is hope. Here are a few suggestions I thought of...
Weather permitting tomorrow, try and get an activity started instead of just sitting around drinking, talking, whatever. Try and get a volleyball game, softball game, whatever you like going. Its a great way to get the party going and its a great way to burn some calories.
When it comes to drinks, make sure you drink plenty of water and try and stay away from the pop. For most of us we'll be having the occasional alcoholic beverage, but try not to over do it.
As for food, all I can say is choose wisely. Remember that you could easily go buy the food you see at your parties. Don't think just because its a holiday that the food has some kind of extra special taste. Just because its there, doesn't mean you have to eat it all!!
Good luck my fellow weight loss competitors and Happy early 4th of July!!

Hi racheld~ Thanks for all your great tips on the holiday:) I already am planning on drinking some cocktails, but will use diet 7up as a mixer. We go to the lake so we will be taking walks and playing volleyball.
These holiday weeks are tough, but we have to remember it is one day, not a whole week. That is my problem...I like to extend the parting to all week.
