A Filthy House, how would you react?

My son invited us to a barbeque at his place last weekend. When we went inside I was very unhappy to see the mess. He and his girlfriend and her 4 year old son live in a small trailer. I was disgusted to see trash all over the floor. The carpet was dirty and stained. Nothing was picked up. Even the furniture was dirty. When I sat down on the couch, I nearly gagged at the smell of urine. I don't know if this was from the kid or the two little dogs. It is apparent to me that they don't make any attempt to clean house. The vacuum cleaner sits in the corner, unused. I was very unhappy and I don't plan to visit there again unless they clean it. I'm ashamed at my son's lack of interest. How would you feel?
