Define "Friends" in MyLot

in RL (real life) we have friends and we may share something in common and spent time together. in mylot however, what constitute a "Friend".
is it just because they are in your friends list you would consider them "friend"?
or is it that you chat with them by messaging thus sharing stories away from mylot?
or are friends those who answers all your discussions?
which is it? or is there another definition of a mylot friend?

my my lot friends are always here for me to comunicate with when im lonely or feelinf sad cause im alone i can always sign on here and i feel like ive got instant company

when i first join mylot, due to the different setup of the discussion page compare to the regular forums, i felt lonely in here. after a while, the feeling change to curiosity to know actually how may members are active out of the 99,073 population.
so when you say friends, you mean those who answers your post?

no not just them evrry one i like to read others posts even if I do not always participate and my friends dont always have to answer mine sometimes we are interested in different things or I may have nothing to contribute but I enjoy comming here anyhow

the word 'friends' just take on a new meaning with the invention of the internet. i can understand some people look at us funny when we say we have friends we have never seen, hear or touch.
in RL we pick and choose who our friends are. we would decide to be friends whitht he person even by looking at them. girls get together and say things like, "he looks scary" on RL but will hve a million firends on the internet they have never seen.
interent maybe a blessings for the lonely person.

my definition would be people in this site who share interests and have good conversations in here...they learn from each other, share experiences, and have fun here together...
