A Common Misconception

In my experiences with people, I keep hearing that the privilege of sharing the gospel has come under attack. The form of this attack is in the phrase that begins with "Religion is a highly personal thing" These people advocate that the message of the gospel should not be shared with the general public outside the walls of the church. Some have gone as far as it is even not polite and we the christians should "mind our own business" This was the soviet union's policy. To keep any form of religion out of the public arena. This is a highly dangerous idea and those who advocate this are unknowingly advancing communist doctrine. I cry foul since all the other ideas and philosophies are welcome out there. So what do you say? Let's have some feedback here. I am awaiting your posts. Have a blessed day.

While I agree that Religion should not be kept out of the public arena, there is a fine line that has to be maintained between talking about religion and pushing it down other peoples' throat. I believe that that's the reason why people are saying that religion is a personal thing. It's not impolite to talk about religion, but it is impolite to try to forcibly convert everyone you meet.
