Oh my goodness! Beautiful ladies, loving mothers and kind housewives, how can you tell if the cake in the oven is cooked already ? Your precious information or guidance I will sincerely appreciate. Thank you very much.

Put a small wooden stick into your cake. If the stick comes out clean, the cake is ready. If the stick is moist with dough or has cake on it, bake it some more. It is as easy as pie.

If you press the center in a little and it bounces back i think its cooked - well thats what i do if i don't have one of those cake checking thingies (forgot what they were called!)

A tooth pick works great, BUT if you don't have one, a knife works just as well. Make sure there isn't any batter sticking to it when you pull it out and call it done!

If you stick a toothpick or skewer into the middle of the cake and it comes out dry then it is ready. If it comes out wet then it needs more time.

I use a toothpick and insert it in the center of the cake and pull it out again. If it comes out with no cake on it then it is cooked. If you don't have a toothpick then you can lightly tap the center of the cake and if it bounces back then it will be done. Hope this helps you.:)

It's easy. You can use a toothpick to stick into the cake. If it's not done, then the toothpick will be sticky. On the contrary, it means it's well done.
