When I was still an employee in a financial institution, we have this office problem. You place your money or any valuables anywhere in the office and nobody will touch it. But put a ballpen on the top of your table and presto ! within a minute or two it is gone. Do you have this problem in your place of work too?

yes, often. :) actually, i think, money or any valuables we place on our tables is considered private property. but pens or ballpens, especially if supplied by the office, is considered public property for personal use. :) before, i used to place a dozen ballpens every week on my desk. at the end of the week, everything would have vanished. then, one day... one of my officemates was cleaning her desk and she found out that she accumulated about 50 pens on her pen holder. now, we knew who the culprit was. :) vanishing pens are caused by interactions with people... those who needs your signature, editing, review, approval, validation etc. :)

I thought that I had a special breed of pen that grew legs and ran away and hid. This constantly happened.

That's why when I used to work in an office, I would get bright, funky looking pens..with flowers on the top or a cartoon character, etc. That way, no one would want to steal my pen..and even if they did, I will know who took it!!!

All the time when I was working last year. I had a habit of keeping my on my ear, in my hair or in my pocket if I had one, because they always went walking LOL

LOl This is a big problem I think every where. They seem to vanish at home to! I really think there is a pen monster that goes around and eats everyones pens. How else would you explain it? :)
