Things are making me weary

The past few months I've noticed I've lost quite a few friends. I'm sure it's nothing personal, as I realize that my discussions haven't been that pleasant lately, save the few jokes I receive that actually make me laugh. I'm sorry, but I feel I must repeat what I find and am grateful when my fellow mylotters (and myspacers) bring me more information about the goings on both past and present in our governments both here in the U.S. and around the world. I know that some things sound really far out, but I have done my best to tell you and show you why I feel as strongly as I do about now being the time for the majority of us to start paying attention to our governments and media networks. A lot has gone on while the world has been working night and day to survive while trusting those we thought we elected to represent OUR needs rather than the needs of those few elitists that own the federal reserve that created inflation and credit. All I know is I've never felt more strongly in my life about anything before. Our freedom and the Constitution right along with it are at stake if we don't start paying attention and exercising our rights while we still have them. With the Destructive Duo declaring themselves not part of the Executive Branch and therefore not subject to any laws in or out of the United States, and I read somewhere (wish I'd saved it) last week that Bush is signing something tomorrow on our Independence Day. If anyone has any info on that, I'd greatly appreciate it. That alone has been eating at my stomach lining for days. Here's some references to the Destructive Duo and their recent declaration: East Valley Tribune, Phoenix, AZ http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BUSH_SUBPOENAS?SITE=AZMES&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT USA Today http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2007/06/post-7.html CapitolHillBlue.com http://www.capitolhillblue.com/cont/node/2756 EuroNews.net http://euronews.net/index.php?page=info&article=430847&lng=1 OpEdNews.com http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_allen_l__070703_it_s_official__2f_chen.htm Now is the time to sit up and pay attention to what is going on outside our action-packed daily lives of simply being people and trying to survive. Finally, there are 11 in the House on board to impeach Cheney. You can read about that here if you like: http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0707/S00021.htm http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0707/S00040.htm http://www.vermontguardian.com/local/042007/ImpeachmentVote.shtml http://www.capitolhillblue.com/cont/node/2336 Now is the time to do something that most of us have never really even considered doing--take 10 minutes and write your congressmen letters with your own hand and mail those suckers. Ask them if they are on board with impeaching. Tell them that is what you want as a voter and a taxpayer. Remind them that under the Constitution it is their DUTY to remove those tyrants from office. They have that power and it is their job to use it. I've taken quite a bit of abuse for bringing this topic on its many different tiers here for the nearly 100K people around the world to read, thus giving them the opportunity to research these things themselves. I've also met a lot of great people that are just as worried about their children and grandchildren losing their freedoms as I am...and some great people that haven't yet reached the worry of children, much less grandchildren. Just because the actions of our government haven't effected your daily life, per sey, doesn't mean that it won't if it continues to be swept under the rug. Many of you here at myLot are experiencing the aftermath of the NAFTA agreement. Wasn't that nice of Bill to sign away your jobs right before he left office? Doesn't that make you wonder what kind of damage his wife would do if elected? For goodness sake, she was convicted and fined for attending a Bilderberg meeting while Bill was still in office. Don't believe me. Search it and find out for yourself. The Logan's Act is the law she violated by meeting with people outside the U.S. to discuss/determine the actions of the U.S. government. Hillary was convicted and paid either a $300K fine or a $350K fine, I don't remember the exact figure right now, and I'm not looking. Look for yourself. I digress. These things I tell you are real, and I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The dollar is about to crash, a worldwide depression is not only predicted but expected, the Bushes and Clintons are up to their eyeballs in the new world order. This is not a joke nor an invitation for more abuse. This is the truth, I'm sorry for those who don't like it, can't handle it, choose to ignore it, or whatever. These situations are not going to go away unless, WE the PEOPLE, make it go away while we still have the right to speak out and make our wants and needs known to those we have trusted to protect our interests in Washington. I'm weary and not well, and am only one small woman, but if I don't stick up for my children and grandchildren's future civil rights (2 more on the way, btw, a granddaughter coming next month), who is? Who is going to stick up for yours if you fail to do so?

I'm still around. While some of the stuff is true, some of it, probably not, & other things that people said may be taken out of context. We do have to wait, because the actual truth will be out with solid proof. Anyway, I do wonder what will happen if they do try impeachment proceedings against Bush &/or Cheney. Will it pre-empt all TV programming like it did with Clinton? Anyway, all of the candidates have their merits & demerits. A lot can happen between now & November 2008. We'll also have more candidates to look at, I'm sure. The one that I don't want in there is Guiliani, as his only claim to fame was only being mayor of New York City on 9/11/2001. However, he passed various laws that ended up hurting New York City, & I'm sure he'll end up hurting the country a lot more as President. As I said, we'll have to see. Hey - are you running?

My bad, misinformed little me. Bloomberg is attempting to make it so with the no cameras anywhere in the city, correct? I've been so busy looking into other things that I hadn't realized Giuliani had been voted out.

I don't know much about Bloomberg, but I assumed he had money since he has his own tv show on in the wee hours of the morning...and I'm pretty sure it's about money/investing of some sort...never watched it. I've never been to NYC, but from film the traffic looks insane. I can't say I can comment on that, tho it doesn't seem right to take away folks' freedom of transportation. I bet that proposal has some good and bad on both sides of it.

I so admire young people with hope and ideals and wish more than anything that you are able to garner your troops together and make changes. It was something that I tried to do in my radical youth and failed at. However, my hope that good would prevail continued until the last presidential election. At that time it became so painfully obvious that the only issues that really concern those that actually get up off their butts and vote are abortion, stem cell research, and gay rights. I am most certainly not slamming the far-right wing voters. They are doing something right. Somehow or another they are rallying their people together and getting them out to the polls. My precious Invading Visitor, please keep up the battle on the home front. My mantle is worn out and I am too weary to fight any longer. This war demands fresh fighters. God and Goddess Blessings ~Donna

Well, I am sorry to hear that but I guess I'll have to say life can make us feel that way sometimes. I think you have to try your best to find something else that will distract you so that you don't have to think about your problems all the time.

I can see your point, but ignoring problems is what makes them so big. I guess I could not worry about it, but somebody has to. I have been taking some time for myself and my work, but it doesn't make the issues go away. Are you going to write your congressmen, please?

Yes, I've given the distinction between the two more thought since I last commented. Today is that day, like it or not. I am being kidnapped by my mom to go look at James Dean memorabilia and listen to mindless chatter for minimum 2-3 hours. *shakes head and laughs* To Lydia: You're idea is a good one, and my sincere apologies for misunderstanding. Sometimes my frustrations come out my mouth (or through my typing) before I think things through.

I think disctract is a good idea, just don't ignore it..just distract yourself from it occaisonally. Via things you like ^_^ and you're not the only one worry'n, so as long as you don't totally give up thinkin' about this stuff..I don't think there's any blame in takin' bits of time in here and there for distraction.

It's ok I take your informative speeches as fact and I take a back seat to these to let your voice shine as it should, whilst I find the area of politics utterly boring the ideas of standing up for the people should be upheld!! Also I feel like the recent flooding in the uk has just prompted our new prime minister gordon brown just to act for the people as he is new and not from what should be the right thing to do! Governments are ridiculous to me! as they seem to be irrelevant to what they are supposed to achieve, government spending is at an all time high and that's just their pay rises, if we take a look at what available money is on the table you will soon see that we are a worldwide money bank with lots and lots of spare money just sitting there doing nothing! (you only have to look at all the lotteries and game shows on the TV to see that!!) I feel that things should be tought at an early age at schools to educate younger kids about the plight that we should all share, and the freedom that we may lose as a result of shady government types who fail to see beyond the power of being in power!!

Typical, it's easy to give themselves pay rises but a much sought after thought process is mulled over when it comes to the peoples real needs and interests! Great!!, more people like you who tell it like it is, is indeed in order for these pathetically feeble government members who just want to appear to look good on the square box that is the TV!! When in actual fact they look like complete tossers!!

Thank you for your support, Wayne. You are correct about the worldwide moneybank, and guess what? Our Congress just gave themselves yet another raise. Might want to keep an eye on ole Gordon, tho. He mentioned the nwo in his first speech as PM. We are the people, this is OUR world and WE are the ONLY ones that can put a stop to this bullsht!

Obviously you are a very polically aware person. I can't say I understand too much about the sublities of the American way of doing things. But speaking from my side of the pond we have a similar scenario where one prime minister can resign and another take over. No election, no mandate from the people. I happen to think he is OK - but my political leanings do not tend to favour his as a rule. In this day and age where social classes have tend to merge, in this country at least. New divides have grown. Racial tension is at an all time high. Immigration and the European question are at the front of every ones mind. The 2 wars, not of our making are a very unpleasant sore on our backside. No one seems to actually know why the British Army are in Pakistan! There is rumbling discontent in the UK about Britain. It doesn't come so much from the minorities but from the Middle classes.

Gordon Brown referred to the new world order in his very first speech as prime minister. Yeah, I pay attention, what goes on in the Mother Country does affect us too. The wars are about money. The International Bankers make huge money from their investments in war-time suppliers' companies. ...well, and population control. These battles are not meant to be won, they are meant to drag on and on. People need to wise up and become color/culture blind for real. We are ONE race, the HUMAN race and if we people of the world don't start pulling together, we will end up all one country under one government that will force one religion on us...sounds a bit like what Hitler tried to pull off, doesn't it. In reference to your comment about "the subtleties of the American way of doing things"...all I can say about that is Inflation was the tool used to keep us all working ourselves silly and doing nothing but trying to survive that no one paid attention to boring old politics for decades. If people took an interest, the governments would get by with a lot less. It's a shame that you all over there have more surveillance than citizens. Last time I checked, cameras in the streets outnumbered the citizens 4:1. They are starting that crap over here too. Our American government have been passing so-called laws that violate our Constitutional rights for many years now, but our people (the majority of them) either don't care, don't believe anything but what the bought-off media tells them, or are just too busy trying to survive (or vacationing) to bother with boring old politics. Unfortunately, the attitude around here is "I got mine and screw everyone else." It is going to take something that directly affects the individual before they start to give a hoot. Many people don't realize that our Federal Income tax was written up by bankers, is not apportioned, and is in fact not a law but an IRS policy, and the IRS is an independent, privately owned company that works for the Federal Reserve which is also a non-government entity. The Patriot Acts (many ppl don't know there are 2 of them) are so against our Bill of Rights that it isn't funny. Basically, our American way of doing things is not what the rest of the world (and many of our own citizens) perceive it to be. Thank you for taking time to come in and comment. You may want to take time to look into what is going on with your new Prime Minister. Also check my older discussions, there are a couple of them based on what is going on in the UK, mainly me asking my friends across the pond about things over there. Some answered, the opinions vary, but it might be a good starting point for search terms for you.

You had me with you on Cheney, you lost me when you broaden your his crimes and misdemeanors to a government-wide conspiracy. This administration will be gone soon. I'd say anything will be an improvement, except I can imagine a continuation of the same with Frist, Gingrich, DeLay, or any of those clowns. I would love to see Hillary as the next president, or Obama, or Edwards. These are not in cahoots with the current administration and the New World Order, or whatever their fundamentalist plan for world domination is called. A lot of bad things have happened with Bush in the White House and Republican majority in Congress until recently. But why believe this must continue after the next election? Even other Republicans are rejecting the current administration's policies. Anyway, I know we disagree, and you see everyone in government as either the evil-doers or allowing evil to be done. There's much wrong with the system, particularly lobbying and campaign finance. But the real evil has been an ideological one, and I believe that ideology has been discredited, so that better days are ahead.

Well Republicans hate the Clintons, and it's no surprise to find partisan attacks on them. You'll find all kinds of stuff to support every concievable theory if you look hard enough. Nobody is perfect and some level of corruption seem inevitable. Maybe all we have is the choice between lesser evils. This is the way politics has always been. Admittedly the power of technology is uping the ante. Anyway, we'll see. I don't see any reason to believe martial law will be declared, unless there is massive terrorist attack. Nobody can predict that, unless you're saying the goverment will orchestrate it.

The movie up there has prominent, credible witnesses, as well as documentation that can be researched further. I used to be a Clinton supporter from a long line of die-hard Democrats. Imagine that, the people that helped run AK were also Democrats... Believe whatever you want. Some folks can't see past the party to see the truth. Not everything online is propaganda, a lot of it is drawn from declassified information and prominent & credible people that were there and helped in the covering up. Maybe take time to watch the video before you judge it. Hit pause and read the documentation they put in it. I can tell you didn't bother to research Logan's Act or Hillary's violation of it. She was convicted and fined. Public record, shouldn't be too hard to find.

At some point you have to go with your gut instincts about a person. I agree with Hillary on most issues, so then it's just a case of whether I think she's lying or how much of a hidden agenda she might have. In general, I trust her to act on what she says. What she did in the past is of small consequence. Logan's Act? Isn't that what was being used to attempt to prevent Pelosi from talking to the Syrians. Seems like violation of this isn't necessarily bad. I haven't watched the video because my PC doesn't have a sound card.

Hello my friend. You aren't the only one who has lost a lot of friends here at myLot. The payscale is not as attractive as it used. A lot of members no longer come here on a regular basis. Looks as if they are concentrating on other income opportunities. So don't take it personally. myLot would really stink if we only posted user-friendly discussions. Your discussions make people think about the issues. Back to your post. You know I support the Clintons. I think Bill did a great job during his 2 terms as President. I agree with you regarding NAFTA. NAFTA caused some great and long standing companies like Zenith, Sunbeam and others, to pack up their bags and move to Mexico. I didn't like that one bit. I think the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 was a great piece of legislation. It's the United States labor law allowing an employee to take unpaid leave due to a serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform his job or to care for a sick family member or to care for a new son or daughter (including by birth, adoption or foster care). It was one of the first major bills signed by President Bill Clinton in his first term, fulfilling a campaign promise. The Republicans would never consider such a caring act like this. Clinton's presidency included the longest period of economic growth in America's history. He left President Bush with a huge surplus and now we have the largest deficit in American history. I don't have to tell you how corrupt the Bush/Cheney administration is. I've never seen more people jailed or indited. They truly believe they are above the law. Scooter Libby should have at least spent more time in jail than Paris Hilton. I don't care if Valerie Plame was a undercover CIA agent or not. You just don't reveal the name of CIA agents. The president's father said people who do this are the worse. Anyway, don't get discouraged. Lloyd

Thank you for your support, Lloyd. Unfortunately, that very good 93 legislation does no good for my states and states like it. Indiana is a "work at will" state which means employers need no reason at all for terminating employment..sure if their reasons suck, ppl can receive unemployment benefits if they qualify for them, but those who take off on unpaid leave don't have a job to come back to unless their employers have integrity or they have a contract. I need to look into where that stature came from (probably Republicans, no argument there) and when it was enacted in this state, true enough, but we are a "work at will" state. Sure that's not the Clintons' fault, and I did used to support them, but after seeing my home county practically turn into a ghost town due to the NAFTA agreement, my trust in them is lost...well, I can't say that I'm not totally offended by Hillary's Bilderberg membership, but that's neither here nor there. Agreeing to disagree with you on the Clintons. I'm not giving up, though sometimes the thought of going back to being absorbed in my own daily life does sound appealing. I'm pretty sure when I posted this that my illness was simply a bad bout of stress taking its toll. I do appreciate your concern tho, and that is the truth. Sometimes a few grains of kindness and kinmanship (is that a word?) can do wonders for one's physical and emotional state. Take care, Lloyd. Shannon

Duh on me, I meant "statute" not stature. LOL Anyway, I agree that Libby should not have been pardoned, though my own personal theory is that he was pardoned because he was only following orders when he committed treason (yep, I remember George Sr.'s thoughts on that matter too). And I forgot to ask if you would pretty please and thank you write to your representatives and request the impeachment of the Destructive Duo. *snide remark* ...it would probably be a shorter letter if one were to list the treasonous crimes they have not committed... *end snide remark* Yep, I still have my humor. No worries there. Thanks again for stopping by. Shannon
