Rice and Beans

I love a great dish of rice and beans. And my mother in law used to make it for us almost every holiday or birthday. But since my father in law passed away she really does not like to cook anymore. So I asked my husband to make it for us and he is not sure how to do it. He told me if I get the recipe he will make it for us. So I was wondering if anyone has a good homemade rice and beans recipe they would not mind sharing with me and my family? Thank you in advance.

I wish I did. What I do could never be called a recipe. I take 1/2 cup of kidney bean, 2 cup of rice, 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup salsa, 1/3 cup fried onions and green peppers...mix it together and put in a pan. Put it in the oven for 30 minutes. And voila....something for my husband's dinner and he loves it.
