when I was in high school, I used to play softball. I played a little of badminton too. when I went to college, I tried playing basketball & volleyball but both weren't really my thing so I just sticked into playing softball. ^__^ I love that sports. but I wish I tried tennis (lawn tennis), I think I would have loved that. ^__^ what were your sports back in school? what sports do you wish you have tried???

When I was in Middle school, I was active in volleyball, basketball, track and wrestling. In high school I was in volleyball and wrestling. I didn't join basketball in high school again because I didn't like a lot of the girls on the team, or they didn't like me. Track, well I didn't like the coaches they were very creepy. I was in volleyball for sophmore year and then decided I didn't want to play with a bunch of girls who claim the ball was theirs when I hit it and when I left it open to them it was my ball eventhough they called it, and some of the girls from the basketball team ended up in volleyball. So basically i stuck with wrestling, no stupid girls fighting over the dumbest stuff and defintly less drama. Plus it was fun beating buys and then watching their team mates make fun of them, those were fun times. I didn't make it to Junior year, at practice I tore my acl and mcl ... that was fun, lol. I think the sport I wish I had tried would have been tennis, but I don't know how well I would have done.

I participated in four organized sports growing up. I played football and soccer in high school. I played soccer with the city league throughout my youth. I also played hockey on a city youth team. I am also a brown belt in Judo which I took up while in college. Unfortunately I moved and haven't pursued that any further. ‹(°¿°)›

LOL maybe because i was a beginner and i had no training but i was pretty sure then that it wasnt the sports for me. ^__^;; you're a brown belt in judo??? wow. is that the stage before the black belt?? i wanted to try any martial arts before but i didnt had the time and none of my friends wont join me. i couldnt go and try it alone! ^__^;; too bad you didnt pursue it. judo is a good sports.

I played a lot of games in school. I played soccer, track and field, volleyball and basketball in elementary. In highschool, I still played the same sports but minus soccer since we didn't have a football field plus no one else was interested in that sports (i think). I also learned that I can swim and play pingpong. In college I was not really interested in joining any since I intended to focus on my studies, but then I loved soccer and missed it terribly so I joined. I also wished I could play lawn tennis though...I don't reallt know how to play but I know the rules and terms used in it...

that is all why you played tennis? but to grip a small ball is rather different from gripping a large ball of soccer right? women who plays tennis are really amazing. just think how strong they are and also their stamina! you have to have a good stamina to last for 6 games! (or 3?)

I did try playing tennis when I was younger. Our soccer coach made me squish tenis balls to improve my grip in soccer (I play goalkeeper) so I spent some time in the tennis court. There was that time when I tried to play with our tennis player (thinking that I know how to play table tennis, tennis would be a piece of cake)...my hands turned numb after hitting a couple of times...I kinda embarassed myself then, and after that I didn't have the interest in learning tennis anymore. I contented myself at the sidelines watching the action, and...errr, watching my pretty classmate play...quite a chik, really... :-)

I used to figure skate. It was fun, but I stopped in 7th grade. The main reason was because it ate a lot of my free time (adding my clarinet lessons, I only had one free day every week). Besides, the other skaters my age were already in competitions. I've relised now that if there had been a team skating group in my club, I probably would've join that... but then I wouldn't have joined the amateur theater club and met my best friends, so I'm not sad. Nowadays I mostly watch figure skating, ice dance and team skating when they send it :) Sometimes I wish I could skate again without worrying about competitions or being good... or, in the case of doing it in public, accidentally crash into someone ;P

kakkoi!!! i have a friend too who's into figure skating. and she joins competitions. why dont you like skating in public? you like doing it alone?

It's more that I'm used to skate without a helmet, but it's required when the skating rink closest to me is open to the public. I fully understand why - I might know how to fall without hitting my head, but others don't. It's also safer in case you collide with someone. I still rather skate without one though, I guess I'm a bit vain like that ;)

it is played in asian games??? wow. that must be an exciting game. its kinda similar to a native game here in our country called "moro-moro". i dont know how it is called in some parts of our country coz it has different names. ^__^

hey it is played in asian games,2 teams are divided and 7-8 players are in each team one by one each other team's court try to touch any one at the same time the other team 's player try to retain the visiting player in their court only ,it is upto the visiting player to manage to go back to his court while saying kabaddi and u can't breathe ,so its one breathe, grabbing any player and then coming back to court ,whiever team outnumber the player of the other team will win ,and even a single palyer has a capacity to recaLL his whole team back by managing touching palyers of the team and coming back to court his/her court ,so it is power, strength, flexibility and breathe game and i don't know why it is not poular ,in my view it is better than soccer ,u don't need any equipment for it.

The popular sport in China now! - I like it!
I'm very glad to enter into my university.Because each student in my university can choose one subject from the sports list. There are more than 20 items we can choose:softball, baseball, basketball, football, swimming, volleyball, pingpong, tennis, fencing, dancing, tachi, yoga, boating, shaping and so on. The first semeter,I participated in tachi and second semester I chosed volleball. The third and fourth semester I chosed dancing. In my spare time,I play pingpong and snocker with my friends.

wow! you had so many choices??! back at our university I think we only have... less than 10 choices. I think it doesn't even reaches 8. hmmm... we have swimming, table tennis, lawn tennis, ballroom dancing, basketball... I can only remember 5... I remember I envied students from our sister university because there are more choices there and I just couldn't understand why our schools differ on that. yay! you also took dancing? wht kind of dance? I took ballroom dancing.

I love hiphop! and I would've been interested to do some latin dance. ^__^ eventhough we don't have hip hop in our choices I still got a lot of dose of it. I love dancing so I always join groups in our college who are either going to do some intermission number in a program or going to join a contest within the university. I loved my dancing days then and im missing it. ^__^ this is why I'm always spearheading creating a dance group here in our office everytime there's a program and we have to present something as an intermission number. ^__^

I participated in hip-hop dancing.Actually, there are two choices of dancing:hip-hop dancing and Latin dancing.Indeed, these two dancings are a little bit different from Hip-hop and Latin. What we learned in class emphasized shaping. In my high school,we had selected lessons for ballroom dancing. It was popular so I was not lucky to join in it.

In high school I played volleyball and was put on the varsity team within a month. It was a good experience playing on a team with all girls. Of course, it was high school and everyone gossiped but it was still okay. Sports I wish I would have tried?? I guess basketball and track. I have always played basketball just for fun with some of my friends on the weekends. In fact, me and my best friend still try to get together every weekend and play. I guess I had never thought about being on the team at school. As for track/running, I have always wanted to be a runner. But sadly I'm lose breath very quickly. lol. I guess that makes me a good sprinter. I would run every day at recess in grade school. But when the mile run test came around, I would be one of the last to finish.

i think you'll do good in so-and-so meter dash like the 100m dash and not with long kilometer runs. we're the same in this thing. i also lose breath quickly. but maybe if we had the right training we'd be able to last for long runs and maybe win it. ^__^ i tried marathon relay when i was in high school and was disappointed because i didnt try when i was still a freshman. ^__^;; i should've.

i have played basketball for about 5 years in highschool. it was really fun. i think everyone should experience being a part of a sports team in his/her early ages. because it provides you many social skills like having responsibility, being part of a union, building last long friendships and improving your discipline. you learn to manage your time, you get used to having such busy days which you have to share your attention to both your school and ypur social life.

nicely said! sports isnt really just for fun. we develop our social skills like what you said. we learn how to deal with others, we learn how to work with others, we learn to accept defeat, we learn the essence of not giving up! we learn to value people and friends. we learn respect. come to think of it, sports really does have a lot benefits. maybe that's why we enjoy it so much. ^__^

its not late for someone to try sports. especially if he or she is in great shape! you could try lighter sports at first and then choose whatever you want to focus on. practice and exercise is everything in a sports. doesnt really require talent to enjoy a sports. so im advising you to try one. ^__^
