I went to the library today and was having a hard time finding a book to check out. I normally read Stephen King, V.C. Andrews, Dean Koontz, or something along that line. Well, I couldn't find anything interesting by those authors, so I just started browsing around. A book on the shelf called "Good in Bed" caught my eye, and I got curious. I couldn't believe that was sitting right there on the shelf! Once I read the back cover, I realized it didn't even sound like a X rated book at all, but a story and it seemed pretty good. I'm probably going to start reading it later on tonight. Has anyone else read this book? Did you like it? I've never read anything by Jennifer Weiner, so I'm not even sure if she is a decent author or not. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I recently discovered this author and I have now read almost all of her books. It's really good "chick lit" to me, and I have really enjoyed it. It's not x-rated, although she does get into some adult subjects. It's excellent. There's a sequel to it called "Certain Girls" that just came out and it's also good. Did you ever read this or anything else by her????

OMG, you've just got to finish it! I love Cannie, and she pops up briefly in another of Weiner's books, but I don't recall which one yet. Then the new one, Certain Girls, is the actual sequel. She's a wonderful character, and Weiner's a great author. I highly recommend all of them. I also just finished "Goodnight Nobody" in which a housewife turns herself into a detective after a "perfect" mother gets killed in her community. It's great too. DO let me know when you've read it! I love talking to people about them!

I really love it. I keep reading short story books because I can finish a story in one night, and it makes me feel like I've accomplished something. I'm going to make a point to finish good in bed, so I can start the next one.

I LOVE her! I'm STILL trying to read Good in Bed-- I keep starting it over.. and I've been doing it for a year. But, I love her! She is so comical, and it sounds like me. I did not know there was a sequel! I want to get it. I need to finish reading Good in Bed though-- I've checked it out so MANY times from the library, that they should just let me keep it. LOL

Wow, this is an old post that got bumped up. I have never read the book or even heard of it before you. I might have to check it out at the library and see if I can get into it. That's if I get time to myself because the time I get to myself I end up spending online or messing with pictures...lol.

Me too! I never have much time to read because I sacrifice that time to be on here. The same goes for my craft time.. and I like to play Sims, but haven't done either in a while because i'm a net junky. LOL

I have never heard of that author or title before. I do like Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Have you read any Patricia Cornwell? Her style is a little different but I like it too. Oh and John Grisham. I think he just put out a new book last winter if I remember correctly. Let us know how the book is.

I've never read any Patricia Cornwell, but I have heard of her. Next time I go to the library I'll see about getting a book from her. I've never read any John Grisham either. I'll let you know how the book is. The back cover seems really good. I think it's about a lady that tries to get her life back on track or something, not really sure. Hopefully I will have time to read a book! LOL
