Have you reflected on an act and have wondered, " what got into me?"

Pardon me if I keep on talking about work and work and work here on mylot. I hope that you still have ears here for me. I have done many silly things and i have uttered silly words in a not so good manner and I keep wondering what got into me everytime a subscriber gets mad at me. Why me? I keep handling the same irate subscriber and I guess they have developd a phobia when hear my name as if I am the bad customer service officer. May be I deserve it because I am guilty of not the best service or maybe I dont for I have done the best to please them but is not satisfied with the kind of service that I am giving.I feel guilty when they shout at me and shout back when I should not do it. I am just glad I have mylot, i can express y feelings here. Its a way of coping.

I emphatise with you. I too have a client whom I think we were enemies millions of years ago. When I heard her voice, I will tell myself keep cool, but then after a while, I will lost myself. Simply because she made me lose myself. I just cannot help it. Luckily for me, I have a workaround. I used email instead. LOL. Perhaps if we can just let it go after the incident, and not let it bother anymore, there could be less tension the next time round. Happy working!

Next time I will try to stop myself form doing it. Happy working to you as well.

I think in a position like yours you would have to be extremely polite and patient. If you weren't you wouldn't have held your job for as long as you have. I think you are a special person, Zelmarq.

It's one of the reasons why I don't work in a call center because I find dealing such things very stressful. I have trained a lot of frontliners about customer service for almost seven years until and I have done my share of being the shock absorbers that one day I just woke up and told myself that I just can't take it anymore. I had to take myself somewhere else or I will go join their craziness. Shouting and insulting a customer is a complete no no in customer service and is considered a mortal sin. I just can't go on anymore and turn a deaf ear whenever a customer tells me something that is very insulting. So I packed up and looked for another job. I felt that I will go old exponentially and have grey hairs in a year or two if I would stay on.

well the sad truth my friend is that the more we hate to do it the more we dot it, its really ironic but its the truth.
