What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? When I was younger I would have said that it was "Beer, Pizza, & Women." In that order. Now that I am older and feeling my own mortality, I often wonder if I was supposed to do something important with my life, or if my sole purpose was merely to exist until existence is no longer possible? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

The reason why we are existing is to bring glory to God. We were made to worship.

I envy you your faith. Still, I have read both the new and old testiments, albeit quite some time ago, and could find no solace between those pages. Perhaps it is my limited intellect that keeps me from finding the grace that so many derive from the word of God, but it's all just words to me.
